Kucch rang pyaar ke aise bhi on Sony, its a simple story

no gloss no melodrama..till now

Im not particularly impressed with the acting skills of Shaheer..but Erica is a lot of fun when she starts blabbering in Bengali😆😆 and I love Sona's characterization😳😳

but the way the show is set, its nice and pleasant, nothing too serious, nothing too OTT..sofar a fresh watch..

m not even like shipping any couple or anything, but to unwind after a long day, its a nice show :))

I don't know how I missed out on these episodes before but I saw them for the first time now.😆

So much of drama and running around from one airport to another 😆

The last scene was very touching. All six of them in Monica's apartment which was empty.Closing shot focused on the empty house

IGT this year has been awesome till now.Looks like they got the message that forced humour has not worked for the show and so reduced it.
#Hunarvaar - I'm really glad that I'm not in the place of judges.

Almost all the acts which are in competition with each other came up with much better acts than their audition round acts.

That little over one hour passes in no time😆

Talking about Hindi daily soaps I don't understand why the female leads have sisters who are good for nothing.😕

ok so m copy pasting my review on UP here😛
Udta Punjab
For all its prerelease hype courtesy the controversy, a trailer that was cut in a manner that set up the stage for it being either a game changing movie or a complete disaster and not really high on buzz music, UP had a lot NOT going for itself..

I for one was tilting on the opinion of it facing the fate similar to Bombay Velvet..and the entire stunt and prolonged war between the makers and the Censor, just seemed to be a huge farce or they seemed to have joined hands to give mileage or the much required publicity to an otherwise dark, unconventional movie in order to ensure big opening..atleast that is what I thought..

However, I have to say, UP is an important movie and presented the issue of drugs in a non-preachy, non dramatic, yet extremely relevant manner, with doses of dark humour inserted from time to time.

The statistics of increasing drug addicts, and suicides in the last decade in India is extremely alarming and so is the center point of its massive consumption, Punjab. this movie, made me want to get into research mode around it, and have to say, the stakes are really high here, we are losing an entire generation for real to drugs..

I for one believe that the writing was pretty amazing, the manner in which the plot point revolves around the four starkly different characters and their point of connection and intersection was nicely done, without crazy histrionics or forcing the characters into each others' story

the last time I really enjoyed amalgamation of different stories which meet at some point or the other was Life in a Metro..and now UP

I particularly liked the way the songs were inserted..the sequence where Mary Jane is carrying the consignment and has a change of heart, was brilliantly done! absolutely loved the way Alia enacted it out, ofcourse she gave a stand out performance in this one (she has showed sparks of brilliance since Highway)..but this particular sequence and the one where she meets Tommy Singh, that is SOME SERIOUSly mindblowing acting from her!

The jail sequence! - WOW Shahid - did not impress me all through the movie, but his moment of shining/ glory came in, in the jail scene..he was inconsistent IMO, but this particular scene - totally nailed it! the DOP did a smashing job, capturing it too..and also just before the speech before the audience - the moment of conflict was brilliantly edited and shot

Diljit gave a smooth, natural performance - not outstanding, but adequate..he is blessed with great screen presence though..

Bebo - again not exactly consistent, looked beautiful throughout, but again, I can forgive her thousand bad movies, or all the inconsistencies in this movie itself, just for the way her eyes expressed in her last shot - that is the mark of an experienced actor! and I did not see that coming for her character for sure..

Alia deserves every award this season for playing her part - yes her character was written to bring in some serious shock value and was easily the best written role of all - but she was JUST SOOO good too, for bringing it alive..that she CAN act has been proved with Highway, but here she was in absolute control..not a single false note IMO..and she has learnt to use her eyes effectively as well..every time she stared at the ad of Goa - I just had a lump inside my throat..

I actually liked the way the climax was executed, because it did not make me leave the theatre with a heavy head..

4/5

I think the owner of Dharma stable should keep himself away from writing stories. His stories and his writing do not have depth.
He should do what he is doing now. Give chance to new film makers and writers make small budget films with them on different subjects and may be direct stories which were not written by him.

At least that way we can see something different in Hindi.

Since he is always cribbing there is dearth of good writers let him search for good writers and nurture them.

-----------------
Other day I was watching an interview of a film maker on Telugu channel. This film maker is a very good writer who went on to become a director.
He said he had to make movies because writing doesn't pay much.

Was IF down for sometime?😕

Makkhi, Gorilla, Snake, Nevla, Peacock, Honey Bee - Colors or Animal Planet?

Go bananas!!!

It's raining creepy crawlies on Indian television.

Take a break all casting co ordinators, for the days of smart heroes and sanskari heroines are gone.

Saas-bahu sagas defined Indian television in the past, and now plots are literary bestial'.

And the channel which is spearheading the entire beast content revolution' is Colors.

It's ironical that with its upcoming show 24 season 2, the channel intends to redefine content on Indian television, on the other, its raking numbers with the help of elements like makkhi (fly), snakes and most recently a gorilla. Isn't that what you call a nullifying effect?

Scratch ...scratch...scratch head (like a gorilla)!!!

To be more precise, readers must have witnessed the recent changes in the channel's programming. Once known for making more realistic, path-breaking social dramas like Balika Vadhu, Na Aana Iss Des Laado, Phulwa among others, Colors has now taken a different path altogether. It seems that the channel is on a spree of making break from its image of a bold, progressive, intelligent broadcaster.

Making supernatural characters a cool trend, Colors came up with the show called Naagin, a story about two shape shifting snakes. There have been many shows earlier on Naagins, but none could reach the popularity of this one. Once shown on Colors, the shape shifting creatures went on to become a super hit among other show makers, with many producers introducing Naagin characters in their series. What is even more interesting is the fact that the daily showed many other such characters including a shape shifting nevla (mongoose), peacock and honey bee. Though we have seen Naagins earlier on small screen... mongoose, peacock and honey bee being integral part of a plot is truly mind boggling.

For the fans of small screen, if Naagins and Nevlas were not enough, the channel even turned its leading lady into a makhhi in Sasural Simar Ka. With that, the TRP of the show actually flew' high!!!

Finally, after all the insects, reptiles and birdies, even apes came into the picture. The channel presented us with a gorilla in Thapki Pyaar Ki, who fell in love with the leading lady of the show (Faceplam). No doubt that the audience of small screen have always appreciated love triangles on screen, but we never thought that the love triangle can also include an animal.

***No consummation scenes please***😛🤣

We have serious doubts if Colors indeed is competing with other GECs in the space, or Animal Planet.

Well, we are no one to judge. But when a gorilla becomes a hero of a story, it does bring in a chuckle a two for anyone who loves good content, which is not regressive and banal.

Anyways, our good wishes are with the gorilla. May he climb up the ratings ladder in a jiffy and go on to win an award or two as a best performer. Soon it will develop tantrums and stop shoot demanding hike in per day. Soon media will write all kinds of stories about the gorilla. Gorilla lifestyle, gorilla gym habits, gorilla diet chart, gorilla affair, gorilla being cast in a new show, gorilla becoming brand ambassador of a product and what not.

Phew...

Isse accha to 400 saal ki baa thi...

Whoop whoop..banana shake anyone???

Food for thought from rival site😆
