Ryan had attended various parties and met different girls. Though what took him by surprise was none could match the impression the mysterious girl had left. She had her marks imprinted on him even without having her lips marked on him. Strange. He didn't find any girl as impressive as this one; and for a change he didn't knew her name as well. Strange, yet again. The mysterious girl ruled most of his thoughts, though he would simply deny accepting the fact. His friends could sense it but he would simply glare into their directions and they would have their lips sealed. Who would mess up with an already messed up Ryan? Not someone with sober mind.
"Hey, Ryan!" He turned to look at the guy behind him, Joseph, who had screamed.
"Yeah!" He passed a completely disinterested look. Joseph wasn't pleased by the rude gesture of Ryan. Anne immediately hoped in, not wanting to make the situation anymore unpleasant. She along with her other friends were used to Ryan's impolite behaviour while others were not.
"Joseph, dude it's been long we haven't seen you around. Where were you?" Her radiant smile attracted Joseph's attention and he overlooked Ryan.
"I was out for a project. I was helping out my dad with one of his projects off-shores, you see." He boasted. It was in his nature. "I was here to invite you people for a party tonight. I hope you have no other plans." His eyes expectantly laid on Anne's.
Her fingers scrapped around her chin as she thought about it. "Actually we have already something planned for tonight."
"Oh! I understand." Disappointment clearly visible through his face, yet he tried not to reflect his disappointment in his words. It did though. "I should have known." His eyes dragged onto Ryan, who stood there looking around. "Ryan has always everything planned."
"Oh! Joseph. I wish we could attend this party but we - we just can't." She disliked every bit to have turned down Joseph, for reasons she wasn't still aware of.
"Listen dude," Ryan was frustrated with the over-stretched conversation that was taking place. "Why don't you join us tonight, instead?" He made a halfheartedly offer. However, he wasn't concerned who all came along.
"Thanks for asking but I have reservations at Dark Valley for tonight."
Even before he could state further about his disappointment of having not joined them or not having Anne as a part of his party, Ryan declared. "We would join you tonight."
No further discussions, no conversations, He had announced his decision and walked out. Anne stared at his retreating figure, dumbfounded, while Joseph was equally puzzled but a joyous feeling took over him.
Bye for now! :*
