I too like the idea of a birthmark. Make it a fairly large one on his back or chest and that should solve the problem. I do believe that it has to be part of his body. Anything else would not have been unique to him. A large or medium sun shaped birthmark on his back or chest. Pls mommm...😃

And as for Ghatotkacha's death, can we make it that Parasurama gave Karna a weapon that explodes on contact? He did give the knowledge of Brahmasira but maybe when he found out that Karna was not a brahmana, he burned the instructions? And when he regretted it later he gave the Shakti?

What about an exoskeleton

He can be born with it. And it will grow with him and he will have to cut it off if he wants to remove it. It is not necessarily a deformity if it looks good on him. An extra layer of hardened skin not like a tortoise but like our finger nail..

The glory wasn't Ghato's alone. Some scholars have opined that it was the one act that makes Karna great since he proved that his loyalty to Duryodhana was stronger than his enmity for Arjuna

Err.. But if he would not use the weapon it was not abut Duryodhan but Ghato would kill everyone.. including him 😆 So it was a life sustaining act. He would not be alive to kill A if he would not use it. 😛

Shakti Astra can be looked up in the texts.

I do think it needs to be something that makes him bleed. A birthmark which made him identifiable sounds more plausible than anything else Perhaps on his chest

Karna's glory lay in his loyalty, no question about it.

Ghato's glory did not lay in the way he died but in the very fact that he fought for the justice system he would have no part of, and indeed was discarded from due to circumstances of his birth, in spite of being the eldest UP.

In fact that puts Karna and Ghato at the same level. Kudos to both of them.

Can you start with the Yudhi-Govinda parts. I think I have only one part left to write in the SV time frame, but that can be from Panchali POV, I think.

So if you write Yudhi's part of it and PM me, I can add and then we can polish it up.

Brishti is busy. So I won't bug her about KP or Subhi haran now😆
