Hmm...I think the audience likes some 'fun' elements in the couple...that is why they like such jodis.Fun+hawtness.
Everybody likes chirpy girls...even in real life and even by guys.We do not have the patience to know quiet people, they are automatically boring.And in characters we often recognize one kind of strength only...the kind shown by the chirpy and outspoken characters...no 'still water runs deep' theory for us 😆

But armaan riddhima can't exactly be the opposite of 'serious ml and fun loving fl' kind of relationships...ridz was more responsible than armaan but she had a fun loving side too, even armaan who was flirtatious and always joking COULD be serious and responsible when required.I am of course talking about the initial days when it was still dill mill gayye and not clowns mil gayye.They were popular because of the hawtness I suppose.

SG are the ones who can be called the exact opposite of 'serious ml and fun loving fl' relationships...at least gunjan can be.She had no fun element and there was no hawtness in the couple (courtesy-mohit's oh so awesome acting skills)...hence-less popularity

all i can say is when a jodi laugh, cry, fight, romance , people like it ...but if they can make you feel all those emotions, people love it ... thats the reason arshi is an unforgettable jodi...geet, ipk,.qh may have started with different backdrop but concept was more or less same and they became popular according to their ability
