a very powerful mandate in capital! and i think a good one...
i am not an ardent supporter of any party..so the win or loss is not affecting me ...like it is affecting some of my friends 😆😆

i was a Modi supporter for sure...only for the kind of work he did in Gujarat in last 10-12 years...and i coming from that state have seen it first hand. so i was happy he came in center.

but this time around i am actually happy about Kejriwal's win...that atleast gives us a hope of a strong and positive party which can stand against the BJP. With Congress fading away literally...if BJP has no strong opposition, it wont really be good for their own and certainly not for the people as well. and if not AAP then we are left with third front which is anyways an invitation to doom's day.

BJP does need a strong opponent so that they remain performing else it will just start to be another congress.

now the wait is to see the mufler man deliver. he has already toned down a lot from his 2013 agenda...which is a good move i feel. In our country if you have to change things you need to be political...being too anarchist is not going to help...and that is what Kejriwal learnt from his loksabha debacle.

Rashmi, Agree on many points .😊
I too noticed change in his approach. He himself seems to understand blunder of leaving Delhi and eyeing LS elections immediately after winning there. Hoping this time he will concentrate on one state first , will deliver there then think of focusing on other states . Ppl from there will automatically come to support him and his party if they will see positive changes in Delhi.

Btw what will be the implications of this elections in Indians politics? If space for third party will be filled up by this Khas Party , what will leaders of the third front do?😉

I personally prefer a party which chooses middle path in everything that it does.
Development should not come at the cost of the farmer's and small businessman's interests.

Land acquisition for big projects should not hit farmers.

A nation which overlooks the welfare of the farmers who produce the very food it consumes will not go any where.

Parties in power should keep this in mind when they come up with slogans like make in India.

I really would like to know how Nano project materialised.

Too bad. The party whose policy is to carry everyone along with them is on the decline because of it's own actions

@Anshu...i don't really care where these 3rd front jokers go...they sure won't take the country anywhere ...but i am sure we are not going to get rid of them soon...😆

what impact today's win means for the ruling party at the center is what we will see in the upcoming state elections...specially Bihar..which are due year end...or maybe early ...
for one they really need to tone down on their arrogance and over confidence, which has started to be seen...post the landslide Loksabha win, they won in all the state polls that happened after it..so the over-confidence kind of set in.
But i think what they did not understand is that in all other states there was no alternate to congress than BJP and so they could cash in on anti-incumbency factor of Congress , but Delhi had AAP right from last assembly polls and then also the support for AAP was very good, so Delhi people always had an option at hand. Hence BJP's negative campaign on these factors cause them the defeat.

People of Delhi were very clear during Loksabha polls as well, Kejriwal for Delhi and Modi for center and they stood by it which is good i think. At least now people have started to understand that a clear mandate is very necessary if you want any kind of positive reforms. and we saw that in all polls in last year.

muffler man's LS dreams and running away caused him one full year where in he could have done a lot. But we people are very considerate - in last 8 months he went on maafi sessions and that made people give him second chance 😆

@Appy totally agree...that 10 lac suit was a big blunder...when you project yourself all throughout as a humble chaiwala, this change is sure going to be sore in everyone's eyes.

And now people of India are changing, our thought process is changing, we have started seeing things in a more logical manner and not just on emotional grounds...which is a very good change i feel.

always a middle path is not possible, specially not in country like India...but the best possible option should be taken. Trying to be a messiah for poor and minority also did not help the fading party and trying to be a crony capitalist is also not going to help the ruling party. Given our social and economic diversity and disparity things need to be looked upon in a different perspective.

Had taken half day at work and when I was leaving, walking towards my car, there was this truckload of AAP supporters with two motorcycle outriders totally ecstatic with huge grins on their faces.

I actually waved out to them. Would never have done it for the traditional parties.

Watch this 😉

So true, his maffi was looking genuine and perhaps party has understand the value of not eating more than they can chew coz I heard today one of his party member on TV refusing to fight on ward elections or something like that by saying that they do not have infrastructure of go on all fronts.

Their LS dreams cost Delhi ppl one year and crores of money for which they have forgiven them open heartedly . Secondly they have seen that there was not much change in the day today life of common man since the new regime came in power . So they choose to give them a second chance.

A party can choose to be right , left or center minded but a government have to take care of all, all from the financial spectrum and all from diverse religions . They have to provide feel of security to all but somewhere statements made by few crazy peeps left the impression otherwise.
------------------

Btw I am a bit scared of the enormity of this mandate.
First toh higher the hopes, higher the disappointments. Secondly think of an assembly where 67 ppl belongs to same party , same ideology, only three from other . I think a certain amount of opposition is required to keep a check on a government.

Let us see how Kejriwal handle this mandate and how much he delivers on the promise of corruption free India and more importantly on the safety of women..

yes the mandate is no doubt enormous ...never has any polls seen such a huge mandate...more than 95%...even AAP is pretty much surprised...
they were asking for full support for last eight months and now the people have given it...
its quite similar to the LS support that Modi got...
and in both cases they need to deliver.
----------------------------

People are quite smart now and they know how to throw you out if you dont perform.
i think for Kejriwal - safety of women and corruption are the 2 most imp issues. if he scores well here then other points like VIP culture and all can still get a pass.
lets hope for the best. its a fresh party with fresh ideas...with very little past history to compare to...so they actually have a very good chance to deliver their promises.
Just this time i hope muffler man stays a bit more logical and doesnt take extreme decisions.

---------------------
@bold...totally agree...the party let it be any need to keep in check these crazy peeps ...because they are ones who cause the maximum damage...
