I have been watching IKNMP on and off. Interesting premise. But got a bit put off in between with all the usual shrill shouting of Pam and the typical Ekta vamp Nivedita and the tumhare bacche mere bacche was a bit overdone but off late since that has got toned down the show has gotten more interesting. I would love to watch this if they start focussing on the protagonists rather than the vamp. But my only fear is that in Ekta shows the bad guys have a long run and get away with everything and the good guys are always too dumb to catch on. I loved BALH as well to begin with but it went the usual Ekta convoluted way so I stopped watching. Hope the same doesn't happen here.

Savs here is the story so far in a nutshell.

Neil and Ragini were a madly in love couple married to each other. Had 4 kids but then had a bitter divorce 15 years ago. Reason unknown. Neil is supposed to be a heart surgeon, a handsome dashing blued eyed doc who has women throwing themselves at him in hordes but loved Ragini dearly. As part of the divorce "settlement" they divided the kids mathematically two each and made a deal never to look back and have anything to do with each other ever including the respective kids! Neil then moved to US with his half of the family. Pam is Neil's sister who is very possessive about her brother, obsessively so (again don't know why), lives with Neil, raised his half of the kids and tried to teach them to hate their mother. Succeeded with the eldest who was old enough to feel abandoned by his mother. Didn't succeed with the other who was too young to feel emotional trauma. There is 5th kid Suhani with Neil whose "origin" is a mystery unrevealed as yet. She thinks she is Ragini and Neil's daughter too, but Ragini and Neil had only four kids so the math doesn't add up. Neil and Ragini meet after 15 years and the daughter Nishi who is getting married wants her father to be there for her wedding. Pam hates Ragini for some reason and blames her for all the unhappiness in her brothers life and is trying very very hard to fix neil up with Nivedita all just to ensure that Ragini remains out of his life for good. Karan and Dimpy who are old friends of Neil and Ragini chance upon Ragini and Dr. aman (who is her good friend and boss) doing grocery shopping together and assume that Ragini moved on, remarried and Dr. aman is her husband and relay this information to Neil who then in a weak moment of hurt and desperation proposes marraige to Nivedita while in actual fact Ragini and Neil are both emotionally stuck at where they were 15 years ago and neither has moved on. So the usual soap MU continues. The reason for divorce, why Pam hates Ragini and who exactly is suhani, the 5th kid is still a mystery. Now we are at Nishi's destination wedding at RK (Karans brother and an old friend) farm in karjat which is where Ragini and Neil too were married and celebrated their first 7 or 8 anniversaries until their divorce. Phront, phront...
