What is wrong today is we are expecting others to provide the answers... others like the politicians, clergy, people-in-power, etc... etc...

We need to look into ourselves ourselves and spread that answer to others too... But things will change... Maybe not in my lifetime but hopefully in your lifetime...

I want to be optimistic, especially in this regard, I so badly hope to see change, but over the years, this malignant tumour of terrorism has spread so rapidly and the actions being taken have proven to be not just futile but somewhat aggravating the situation.

We expect things from people who hold power because at the end of the day they are the ones who have enough power to do something. What do I find when I look into myself, I find a citizen who is scared. Scared of walking in crowded places, suspicious of even a trashcan on the roadside, wincing every time the news channel is put on, depressingly growing accustomed of hearing a journalist in France beheaded, 300 little girls from Nigeria kidnapped, bomb blasts, hostages all this while hearing world leaders making somewhat hollow statements.

How do we change this callousness around?

I always hoped that something would happen to bring an end to this, but yesterday, the picture of a hundred coffins stacked one above the other in a school and a morning picture of the same school where an assembly was held, I didn't know what to feel anymore.

That said, I do hope for a future better than this.

As much as I want to give you a lengthy response to your comment I am not going to. Simply for the reason that there are no one answer to this.

A personal opinion I can share is, I am and also I have come across people who does not look for answers in others. We may not have the financial power or manpower to make a drastic change. But I change and I also change others around me in my own small way.

It may take time but it can happen. You are sitting in a nation where a man born believed that Ahimsa can do wonders and we live in a world where the man who got crucified created one of the largest followers of a religion. These people did not look for others to provide answers but became the answers themselves...

You are at a time in your life when things are confusing and frustrating and does-not-make any sense. But you are also at a time in history where your power to reach people is empowered million times compared to ancient times. Use those tools to do wonders.

Remember you and me can make that difference... Will it stop the massacre? Not today but it will...

Oh and don't be scared of anything. Scared is for people who are unsure of themselves... You my dear is a very strong and very balanced and very brave and very opinionated (in a good way) young girl... Scared should be scared of you... Be cautious but never be scared. EVER.

I didn't like the feeling I had when I typed the word "scared". I felt like a coward, honestly I am not scared, never for myself but I am for my loved ones. I shouldn't be though, my brother is a doctor in the army, he spends months together in the most sensitive areas and the only feeling I should have regarding that is immense pride, but then I am apprehensive too.

@bold: how encouraging is that. You and me, can we really make that difference? But how? I sit down and think of it, of ways that could have an impact. To spread a simple message of love, peace and tolerance. But how does one take out or change what has been ingrained in the mentality and let to fester for generations now?

If only people could be more tolerant of each other.

Anyway, how long has it been since I made any sabun anal-itches?
Off topic and to lighter things... caught lamp and the wick show after long. Highlights.

(Sabun back so comic sans back 😉)

now that Bhabo ijj back after suffering a bullet and getting shock treatment for resuscitation (from the said bullet), I wonder why Sandhya beendani was unable to deflect that bullet in the phirsht place?

Here is the sexplanation.

There was one common thing between the hijack finale and Sooraj-Sandhya consummashun. An all purpose haystack. (The same reusable haystack that keeps circulating between various couples in sabun duniya, which if used prudently ensures longevity of the sabun, i.e, if deed is done there'll be babies that will grow into new couples post leap... else if the deed is interrupted by kid-nappers, there will be no babies and sabun will end in five months sans leap 🤓 )

Now bhat was the haystack doing there at the airport? 😕 I don't know, what I know is, the haystack triggered the memory of their consummashun in Sandhya beendani's head, where while she had rolled along with Sooraj Chora, the wall mirror and another handicraft item shook vigorously. The memory obviously reminded her, how dissatisfied she had been with their phirsht time (and probably the wonly time). Ergo, when the female terrorist (this show is all about women empowerment) aimed at her Sooraj Chora, she shut her eyes, praying let the bullet not miss its mark. Too bad Bhabo screamed Chora... (much akin to 14 year old's Maa...) and took the bullet herself. 🤢

Saath Nibhana Radha aka Saathiya: This sabun is about a family of brothers each getting almost hitched with the same girl called Radha. But look at poor Radha's fate, every time the mangal sutra is to be tied around her neck, the brothers' wifes make an appearance. 🤢 But Radha never gives up till the advent of the next brother.
