U should go for that book Hiru,i suggested..u wil get see such unbelievable anticipations and beliefs about women..I mean ppl can go to such level,that evil seems a good person then.

And in this film,i didn't feel for even a second she thought it was her son! In general cases Mom do feel jealous,but they don't think their sons to be their ideal man,not even in dreams,but yes they get jealous as they r more attracted to their sons which is natural. Here she didn't give birth to the child,she gave birth to her beloved only,it was just a mere clone..she just gave that clone a safe womb..but just giving a clone ur womb,doesn't make u its mother.I clearly felt it from the movie.

good point. A mother son relationship starts with the womb, she carries him for 9 months cares for her for the coming 6-8 years and following years she is always beside him... teaching him being his buddy... in this case too she is doing everything a mother should do for her child and yet she harbors a sexual feeling for him because he is her boy friend... its kind of unhealthy.

@bold: Oh i read this story of twin gals who were raped by their brothers and father from the age of 8. Its so shocking!

Imagine if it was infact real Tommy's child and he looked exactly like him... would she do it? The same theory applies here... would it have been right to do?

Yet in this movie she never consummated! this is my point,she was just the womb lender,who made sure that when the clone wil be brought to the world,all rights wil be reserved to her only. this is how surrogacy happens! there was a show on SP,which used to show real brave persons who came out of so called boundaries and did something great! there was a mother who gave birth to her daughter's child.it was mere surrogacy,nothing related to consummation. And in the movie,I'm again saying she just made sure her beloved is with her only,and she can live his childhood with her which she missed.

Well,it is really hard to get exact carbon copy! But IF it was Tommy's child,then there was no need of this story,she could have got what she wanted with her child. I agree they went for a really big thing and according to me,it was the exact ending that could happen. Once he realizes the fact,she wasn't his mother anymore coz actually she wasn't.

Yah it was banned for four years or so in our country.There in that book is all about the collections of misconceptions and beliefs about women which makes u realize what is actually ur stand in this society and how u should have a dignified hold on urself as a woman to live in this place.

I salute the writer's brave attempt and his hard work and research. But sadly Women folk only got it banned! Alas,when they wil realize,just closing ur eyes or ears doesn't gives u a dignified place in this society!
