Leafing through some articles today ...

Ranveer Singh wants writers and story writing in BW to get more importance ... the current crappy movies which dominate BW need to be junked, as do lazy writers trying to copy HW and churning out mindless masala and selling it on the backs of saleable stars ... who might not be so saleable in the not too distant future, if they continue backing rubbish.

Vidhu Vinod Chopra endorses the view that 90% of Bw movies are trash these days. No wonder 80% of movies bomb ... partly because of poor distribution, high ticket prices and other issues ... but also because they are frankly awful ... and people are not willing to spend their hard earned money to watch trash.

In that light, the success, popular and/or critical, of small movies like Badlapur, DLH and NH10 is welcome ... it shows that the newer lot of BW actors are willing to stick their necks out and take risks.

Sulbha Arya, veteran actress playing Daadi in Begusarai, blames the format of daily soaps for the deterioration in quality of TV shows ... writers don't have time to write quality stuff ... arre, yeh toh hum kab se keh rahe hain!!!
