Hiral..
Jews - Christians - not like Hindu muslim rivalry..as far as I understand.
Christians follow Christ. and it is Jews who played a major role in crucifying Christ. They never wanted to acknowledge Christ as Son of God. I understand that is the reason for rivalry.
I may be wrong...Aparna should be able to give the correct reason.😊

It is not like saudi arabia everywhere-
Here our sultan built two temples in the capital- one krishna temple , with ganesha and Devi

and another one Shiva temple- with shiva parvathi and kids plus sreeram and hanuman

Also there are christian churches- separate ones- for each section- mean roman church, latin one etc etc

All thanks to the education he received-

There are small shops outside the temples- they will sell all these pooja items- owned by omanis -
no discrimination -

I know...What happened at the time of Christ, Its nothing to do with the entire religion..but only with a set of selfish people of that religion.
But its taken such a shade that a rift between religions is created.
A while ago, I asked a Christian colleague of mine, why exactly there is this tussle...I've been told - Watch the movie " Passion of Christ "...You will get the answer...( It was around that time , that movie was released..)

some unexplained things about Jaganath Temple

Wonders of theJagannath Templein Puri are as follows::

1.Flag always flaps in opposite direction of air.

2.From any place in Puri you will always find the Sudarshan Charka (Charka at top of Temple) facing you.

3.Normally during day-time, air comes from sea to land & during evening, the vice-versa occurs. But in Puri it's totally opposite.

4.No bird or planes fly above the Temple.

5.The shadow of the main dome is invisible at any time of the day.

6.The quantity of cooked food inside the Temple remains same for the entire year. But that same quantity of prasadam can feed few thousand people & 20 lac people, Still it won't get wasted.

7.In the Temple kitchen, 7 pots are kept on each other & cooked on firewood. In this process the contents in the top pot get cooked first & then the bottom one.

8.After entering from Singhadwara's first step (from inside of the Temple), u can't hear any sound produced by the ocean. But, when u cross the same step (from outside of the Temple) u can hear it. This can be noticed clearly during evening.

hmmm...so in jain temples...the non-jains arent banned per se...I mean there is this temple in my area...which is like a tourist spot...just like dilwara temples in abu...coz of the carvings and all...and palitana, is like this trekking range type temple with 3000 + steps...so there are lots and lots of foreigners who visit it...
but yeah, I mean foreigners, they are required to dress up properly, and take a duppatta atleast on hire before entering and shorts and all not allowed, black colour not allowed...just some rules here and there
