Sayanee in Kerala we celebrate 4days as Onam most important being the 2nd day.Today is our first onam.And there are no particular rituals.We decorate our courtyards with "pookkalams"(flower arts) and also worship a particular diety(made of clay)in the middle of that for 10 days.And we will have traditional Kerala feast for lunch.And all relatives will gift each other with new dresses😊

Muski it is celebrated in memory of the noble Asura King Mahabali who had been an able and virtuos ruler of this land.Mahavishnu took his Vamanavataar and (deceitfully)send him away to the paatal lok as the Devas were feeling insecure😭It is said that he requested Vishnu permission to visit his people once in a year.Here it is believed that he comes to visit his subjects on the day of Onam😊

Actually now I am reminded of my primary school days.We had to write short notes on Onam😆
