LOL, no! I'm pretty sure those are not actual movie posters. There's just this awesome Facebook page where I found them all! 😆

You can refer to sex in a variety of ways--voh, haaww, sangam, milan, hadey paar karna, some silly irritating laughter 😆 and I guess tauba tauba. 😆

Though honestly, i have no idea. These are all just bollywood euphemisms. If I have talk about sex, I just say sex. Probably because I don't even talk in hindi that much! 😆

VOH is definitely one of the most versatile words in the Hindi dictionary😆 Thanks for all the other slang words too - I had never heard of some of them.

Asha, on a side note, when you say you don't speak much Hindi, is that only when in US or when in India as well?? I was reading a really interesting article a few days back about people moving to foreign countries and finding it hard to speak/read/write their native language and how many of them would forget how to say some words or come up with the right thing to say when they spoke to people from home - the article wasn't focused on those who came to English speaking countries only - there were and.wide variety of cases

My uncle who originally moved to the US when he was in middle school recently moved back to India much to the chagrin of my grandma - so when I went to India last time, he would point to specific reasons why India is better - the traffic violations were definitely at the top of his list of why he liked India more 😆

Hmm...the article seems interesting. In my case, Tamil is my mother-tongue, and while I'm pretty fluent in it, I'm not as good at comprehending the purer form of the language, as spoken down South. I can't read/write Tamil either, a thing I will always regret, because future generations will never have access to the written form of the language, which is kind of sad.

A bout hindi, I don't speak much Hindi in the US, most definitely, but even in India, I would speak Hindi pretty rarely. I've always conversed in English with my friends, and only rarely would I speak in Hindi to some classmates. I guess you can talk to people on the street, in the markets, shopkeepers etc only in Hindi (I doubt there is an alternative to that). At home, it's either English or Tamil. But I can read/write Hindi, so I'm happy about that. But I don't know if you can actually forget a language. I still remember the bits of French I learnt in Middle School, so I don't think I would forget hindi/tamil anytime soon. Only time will tell, I guess.

Asha, great workout tip!!!!

Ruchi, just pretend faint - that way you can be in your senses when Arnavji conveniently catches - you don't want to miss out on those sensations!!!

Thanks Aami...
