Very difficult to find Pakistani Kameez / cloths in SL... I too love them but difficult to find it... But there is plenty of Indian clothes and some of the Indian designer labels are also here...

There are no Pakistani clothes stores here, but there are certain women who sell custom made clothes from their homes, and this one woman has gotten really popular around here because the finishing of her clothes as well as the material that she chooses is always outstanding...unfortunately she's really expensive and far away from me, so I don't buy too often from her! Plus her clothes are definitely catered for taller people😆 All the clothes I tried on today were humongous!! However, I'm been loving the Pakistani style for the last couple of years!

When I go to London, I shop in this one area that has a lot of Pakistani shops and they offer a lot more variety there!

There are a lot of Indian clothes stores within an hour vicinity of me as well but those are ALL horrible!!! They always have the most old fashion clothes, they provide no services to alter the clothes (which are usually super large sizes) and you have to bargain with them, which is annoying. The most popular/oldest Indian clothes store here - they always start off with quoting prices over 1,000 dollars (=60,000 rupees), which is ridiculous and almost a crime for pretty simple salwar kameez/chudidar styles. And then they will make you work at it forever to get the price reduced to a couple hundred dollars😡 Basically, this is the reason I never buy Indian clothes from here - I rather shop til I drop when I come to India so I can stock up!!!

Sorry for the long essay - all of you who have easy access to Indian/Pakistani clothes are very lucky!!!

French Macaroons (three different flavors - all amazing!)
Coconut macaroons
Tres leches cake
Tiramisu
Donuts
Brownies
Some other pastry type of thing
Chocolates
And more that I probably didn't even see!!!!

This was a little too much, even for my 32 sweet teeth!! LOL right now I'm wishing I could join the fad and go sugar free😆

Aami, I'm literally salivating right now! It sounds so delicious!
I love tiramisu. It has been so long since I had it! And I love Macaroons too! I haven't had them many times, but they're just so yummy!! And everything else on that list...❤️

Ruchi, I know I spend a lot of time here on this cc too, but what can I do? There's always someone around, always something interesting being discussed, and of course all the love there's present here!!!!

Anyways Bee's - have to get going now. I still have to buy Eid clothes - first time I haven't planned my clothes out in advance, but I guess I'm just behind on life right now😕 Will have to drive an hour away just to even see if there is anything (it's so hard being short when I want to buy Pakistani clothes as they are all super long!!!)

Hope you all have great Saturday day's and evenings😊

What do you usually wear for Eid? I have no idea, I'm so sorry if this is a stupid question! 😕
It sounds like such an exciting festival but I'm so clueless about the whole thing!

You know there is this Tamil song that my mom sings and I swear, every time she sings that song, it starts raining. I'm so not kidding. It has like a 100 percent success rate. I swear.

Asha, I was so full from all the desserts last night, but now I'm wishing I had a second chance to go through them again😆 The tiramisu was amazing and the macaroons were also divine - one of the flavors was chocolate orange and it was amazing! LOL I'm stop torturing both of us now!

We usually just wear any Indian clothes on Eid - please don't say sorry!! And Eid is definitely the best of festivals - it's a celebration after a month of fasting, so the whole day is just a celebratory day with lots of yummy food and meeting a lot of family and friends! I think each family and each community celebrate it very differently, so there are probably lots of different things people do.

Asha, do you speak Tamil too??

You're right. This is torture. I think I'm going to go to Cream now and get an ice cream sandwich. Something is better than nothing :p

Eid sounds so much fun! I wish I knew more about it!

Yes, I can speak Tamil 😊

I don't know the specific song but I have heard Amruthavarshini ragam can bring the downpour and the same ragam with some twist will stop the rain.

Really? I didn't know that. I really like that Ragam though. I actually have favorites in ragams. Is that weird? Des and dhanashree are among my favorites. 😃

I am pretty sure my mom sings some Tamil film song. It is not Carnatic as far as I know!
