Happy yaar! Was an excellent match not blah like they played with Brazil. Mostly they save the torture of watching penalty shoot out.
Enjoy the awards ceremony.

Catch you all Monday.

Was fun watching it with you!
See you tomorrow!

Congrats Ruchi and Rashmi - hope you both are happy now!

I feel so bad for Argentina and all their wasted chances, but the winning goal was amazing and worthy of being the championship goal😊

Ruchi, the commentators on the sports channel here are both British - the commentator is Ian Darke and the analyst is a former England/Liverpool player, Steve McManaman.

He is yet another overrated player like Ronaldo. They highlight and focus on one player in a team game which is not healthy. During tough time it will pressurize more and blew like today.

Aami 😃
It really was a magical goal!
Don't know Ian Darke, but Steve M should be good.

Well, I think the focus on one player is not something that the players bring on themselves. Media has a big hand in highlighting individual players. I know everyone says that the entire team of Germany is brilliant, and that they don't rely on any one person, unlike Brazil, or Argentina, but I don't buy it. For any team to reach that level of profession soccer, it is stupid to think that only one player is responsible for their success.

That said, if said individual players start thinking that they are responsible for their team's success, it is probably not healthy. They have to recognize that all the focus on them is proportional to their market value.

They make a good pairing. Steve M or Maca as they call him on ESPN is really good, though his accent is really thick for American audiences, IMO😆
