Karan Kundra: I didn't bite any girl.
Actor Karan Kundra partied at a lounge the city in the city on Saturday. And the actor says even though it was his fifth visit to, he loved every bit of it. "I just love Lucknow, and whenever I get an opportunity to come here, I grab it. There is something about Lucknow that I never get bored of coming here, though Delhi se main bore ho chuka hoon. Yahan ka culture, yahan ka architecture... Everytime I come here, I learn some thing new about the city," he says.
After partying in Lucknow on Saturday , Karan traveled to Varansi the next morning. "It was a last minute decision," says Karan, adding, " A very close family friend of mine lives in Banaras and it was for the first time that I was visiting the city. I fell first time that I was visiting the city. I fell in love with it the moment I stepped there. And why not, the city has such a huge religious and spritual relevance. I also went to Dashashwamedh Ghat where I accidently met my actor friend Arjun Bijlani while attending the Ganga Aarti. We both then had a great time together travelling to different parts of the city. The best part about the whole visit was that even though people saw us and recognised us, they didn't bother us. I have all plans to visit Banaras again very soon."
THE REEL BITE
Karan was recently in the news when a video, which shows him attacking a girl on a date, went viral on the internet. He laughs out loud, saying, "That was actually a pilot video for my upcoming television show in which I play a vampire. People took it for real as it was unedited and looked quite believable. But aisa kuch nahi hai, I didn't bite any girl." So was it a deliberate attempt to create a buzz about the show? "No way! Even the makers were shocked at how the pilot got leaked. But later, we were happy that it got the show free publicity ," he smiles.
PAK YOUR BAGS
Karan, who started his career with a typical Indian daily soap says he has no plans to come back to them ever. "I am happy doing my kind of shows, but the saas-bahu serials are a big no for me. I don't want stability in my career by doing same kind of stuff, the way my other friends in the television world are doing. I want to do experimental stuff on the small screen. Like I have hosted Gumrah and then this vampire show, stuff like this. I will only do a daily soap now if it is like the Pakistani serials like Aunn Zara or Zindagi Gulzar Hai, which are on air these days in India. I wouldn't mind leaving movie offers for shows like them. That's the content that I want to be part of."
FRIENDS FOREVER
Karan has always been in news for his on-off relationship with TV actress Kritika Kamra. "It is good that our fans love us so much that they think that even after breaking up we are a couple. I don't get irritated or affected when news about me and Kritika being a couple is doing the rounds. However, Kritika gets upset," he says, adding, "Even though we are not a couple anymore, we are still friends, and good friends. We meet each other, we call each other and we post about each other on our social networking accounts and I don't see any wrong in that. I mean exes can be friends, can't they? "So is there no hope of the two being a couple ever now? "Jaisi rabb ki marzi," he says mysteriously.
