Yes Anshu all name of place where these sari made by hand weaving. All major material used is pure silk some are in cotton too. But its pure silk mainly

Kanchipuram Kanjeevaram Ikat Patola Dharmavaram Pochampalli

Even Maharashtra famous Paithani sari name after place Paithan

how to differentiate well will ask Mom...may be border ...
