The city looked beautiful, with only fireworks exploding as people scattered here and there even in the balconies like us to watch the fireworks. Why wouldn't they? After all, it is the 4th of July. A day to remember, especially for me. 4 years ago, on this very day my life changed completely.
"Remember when we first met?" I asked, already knowing the answer.
"July 4th 2013." He intertwined his fingers with mine. I smiled at him.
4th of July, the day America gained it's Independence from Great Britain, the day I met Reyaansh Singhania.
"I love you." I simply said. "Rey I have to tell you something"
God please be with me, I have faith in you.
"Rey, I want to tell you a lot of things but just don't know where to begin. 4 years ago I was a complete mess. Then you came, the missing piece of my life.
You accepted me knowing my flaws when my own blood didn't. I thank God everyday for bringing you into my messed up life. People say 'shit happens for a reason' & guess what? They were right, if all those things never happened I wouldn't have met you.
Call me crazy but I'm glad all those bad things happened to me. Because the only reason I met you here was because of that. And you have no idea how glad I am!
I still remember our first everything! I seriously don't know what in the world I would do if I didn't have you in my life. Rey I really can't live without you. You becoming a part of my life was the best thing that ever happened to me.
So Mr. Reyaansh Singhania will you become Mr. Reyaansh Taani Shekhawat?" I bit my lip not knowing how he would react to this crappy proposal.
"Did you just propose me?" Really? After this long-ass speech about how he's the best thing that happened to me, he's asking did you just propose me.
"No baby I did not propose you, I proposed the plant behind you who happens to be the love of my life." I know he is doing this on purpose this idiot always does this.
"Sarcasm not appreciated babe. But seriously you just proposed me!" He semi yelled.
"I know, it's weird for a girl to propose a guy. And I don't have a ring and nothing special but I don't know. I just felt like this was the perfect moment to speak my heart. I really love you Rey. I want to spend the rest of my life with you. Will you marry me?" He smiled and pulled me into a tight hug.
"Tanni you are the love of my life, of course I will marry you." I remember when we first saw each other the biggest firework exploded making him be my light at the end of the tunnel.As if by cue,the biggest and brightest firework exploded,again
