That made me look up from my laptop with a start. Khushi going silent mid-sentence is highly unusual. And the outrageously deep blush on her face almost caused me to choke on my coffee.

Arnav ji... Nani ne hamaare saath Lake Tahoe jaane pe saaf inkaar kar diya. Aur Di se bhi keh rahi thi ki hamaare saath na jaaye. Unhe dar hai ki unhe kuch aisa waisa dekhna pad jaaye..."

"What aisa waisa Khushi?"

"Hum nahin keh sakte , Arnav Ji. Aapko Shaadi padhni padegi."

"Shaadi? As in Marriage? Kiski?"

And she shoved the ipad into my face. 😕
