Thanks for the link Dia.
My hindi is okayish but somehow I don't think the dishevelled bride after a night of passion thinking is right. I thought it was referring more to a marriage which is done with sindoor but without the mantras and phere and also without a priest and witnesses. Only a husband is allowed to put sindoor in his wife's maang so I guess Rudra has made her his wife by doing that but it's not according to dharam so adharmi. We should ask RV sir what it means.

I had started disliking KSG as a person after the DMG fiasco, when he cheated on his first wife. Still liked him as an actor though ... both as Armaan and Asad. This has made me respect him a little more ... the guy has handled his exit from the show well. No waffling or hiding behind closed doors, or allowing his producer or costar to take any flak ... he took the time to wish his show well and ask his fans to support it. Okay, KSG, you're back in my good books ... somewhat.

agree me too..hated him when he left his first wife sharda nigam..but again tdy he earned respect back...hoping peoplewa learnwa frm him...

Gandharva vivaah is just jaymalas and sindoor ... that was a legal marriage in the olden days. I think jaymalas alone ... not even sindoor. Mangalsutra is more essential in Maharashtrians and South Indians. Punjabis ke liye its not essential ... for Punjabis, sindoor is essential.
Actually there are three essentials for a Hindu wedding - pheras, blessings of elders and witnesses ... because there was no legal/written evidence of the Hindu marriage till a wedding certificate became mandatory. Which was just a few years ago ... so witnesses were a must.

So just filling sindoor is not enough ... yet she's looking as though they just spent the night together. Maybe that's why 'adharmi'?

can some1 tell me what happens if a man forcefully ties a mangalsutra and/or smears sindur in the parting of a woman, (both being single) and there being witnesses but she is unwilling.

Is this a marriage accepted by the law of India? (i know any1 living out of India will not have this accepted on foreign soil. so its not abt that)

i was kinda confused lol. cz i remember in Parineeta also just tying that chain was all it took at that shub muhurat.

If it's forced, then technically it is illegal ... but remember that Yemeni child? Girls are forced all the time. 🤢

Today's episode was INTENSE.

Now I know why they were showing Rudra's pain so much ... to gain some sympathy for him in preparation for this.

In Parineeta, it was mutual consent ... no force involved. That was like a Gandharva vivaah ... sort of.

In Parineeta they got married with mangalsutra and did no pere. If Rudra wants to claim Paro as his legal wed wife he can do that as well.
