Today's zindagi ek safar hai suhanaish bike ride is a prime example. A paramilitary major who had gone to great lengths ( faking death, autopsy reports etc) to protect a witness suddenly starts parading around town with her?? Wouldnt it have been more fitting had they shown them going in a jeep? No doubt it makes a great scene but would it fit with the flow of the story?? I know we are not supposed to look for logic in soaps little bit of consistency in characters is all I'm hoping for!! Too much to ask??

Shoomie, I agree on the deification of actors and their vehement defending that happens on IF. Have been on IF long around to see this happening having actually survived DMG forum. In DMG forum I was shocked to see the way fanatics defend KSG even when his three timing affair thing was out in open and from then onwards I kind of didn't have too much hope for a sane forum. IPK was sane for the most part of the show but then now I see a completely different fandom.

As far as RR is going, I watch it now a days for laughs because the characters have gone for a toss. Dilsher who was the one who taught 'beautiful girls can't be trusted' is now supporting paro. Didn't get that and I am not saying these things don't happen in Indian TV shows. Yes they do happen but not so soon, not within a month of the show airing. These things are more towards the end of the show like ASR suddenly was a hot guy who played drums in college. I think that is one reason I feel IPK is so different because the characters were in place till the Holi episodes, like if you see the beginning episodes, Khushi gets conscious when she is without dupatta around Arnav and after the guest house incident she doesn't talk to Arnav because she feels he endangered her life intentionally. So yes the characters were in place till middle part of the show and that is why it was a hit. Here when I see paro who has been widowed by rudra quite brutally being okay around him it is definitely a head desk scene for me, chemistry/biology/physics gaye tel lene. And the 200 episodes script being written down seems to be part of initial hype. The Mittals have shot Tumhari Paakhi with a bound script and yes that shows in the serial because even now after 3 months of show on air, we get strategic out door locations and the story is not all around the place. I don't see that for RR - it was all initial hype to get the audience hooked because I don't even see the characteristics firm for the leads at this point.

@bold:- Logic in indian soaps is really too much to ask it seems. At this point I feel kids cartoon series 'The Avatar the Last airbender' had better character sketch than most of the shows - a fact which makes me really sad to see the affairs in Indian TV.

BI gave me what i wanted 2 see today...keep this tempo up aliya and you will have one happy viewer for sure... 😃 aliya has calmly slipped back into her bhopali self today...it was about time...good acting all around...everyone settled into their character and am all set for the exciting ride...usman sahab has shown suraiyya it wont be a one way ride 2 glory this time...aliya isnt a puppy for sure...suraiyya has aced her expressions...full on meanie...so nafisa isnt just a puppet in suraiyya's hands...her monologues before suggested she cant be but it wasnt coming thru the scenes she was being given...today she showed she is gonna use a situation not related to her to her utmost use...the dialogue writer gets a thumbs up today...aliya's were fab n bang on...chand bibi rendering her support to the act ever so gracefully...oft repeated but the bg score guy needs 2 calm down 😆

I haven't watched since last Thursday, when they send Paro back to her village without providing any concrete reason to the viewers.. all this less than a day after the drama of killing Paro in the eyes of the world, nailing sheets on the windows of the house to protect Paro. It was too much suspension of logic for me. I have been reading WU since and can't help laughing now! Paro is mock killed off to protect from Thaukur-sa and now Thakur-sa knows she is alive! Rudr nails all the windows with Parda so that she stays hidden and now his entire family know about her! Paro was taken to the haveli to be kept safe and away from the not trusted various BSD officers and now she is in BSD camp! The ropes were put up with so much pomp and show and now they are down again!

When the show started there was talk about them having 200 episodes already written, but looking at the show, they don't even seem to have the script down for the first month. Seems like they have core scenarios listed out.. Paro's wedding, her hate for BSD, Rudr killing her husband, Rudr's family dynamics, Thaukr-sa going after Paro.. but they are doing a very poor job connecting the dots together. We don't expect 100% logic but 50% to banta hei!

Then there is Paro's grief: Yes she has been crying for the past month.. and I will ignore that it is less than a week in soap land time.. there has not been one single moment of total, all out, devastating, loud, heart wrenching, my world is shattered, cry out from Paro. Yes this is my expectation as a viewer but to me that one, over the top, scene would have put me squarely in sympathy for Paro camp, than all the subtle cry cry we have seen till date. Added bonus would have been a fiery, angry Paro, who immerged out after. Alas we have a chup-chap take it all in Paro! If nothing else give her flashbacks of Mami-sa, future with Varun, good times with Bindi. Let us, as viewers, sympathies with her, feel for her, cry with her.

Last but not the least is the Rang-sa-ve: I loved the song in the first episode and it fit perfectly with the kids story. It totally fell flat for me during the PaRud face off, on her wedding day. And have done so a number of times since then. These two are not at a point where the background can go 'inka saath hei jaise'

They had a great concept which would have worked wonderfully if they had build it up well and especially with actors who can deliver and more.. if only they had build on the anger, turned on the hate even higher and taken it to a crescendo. The show would have been something to watch!

What is happening in RR?!!!!

As Dr S pointed put they got some beautiful scenes with intensity for the lead pair and fit them in a sequence thats it...I cant even think it to be a story...they had gr8 oppurtunity to give a good show but they havent utilized it at all...Todays YR's voice for the scene is a snark material for sure to the gr8 writers of our thread...

The way AS and SI is looking good together is the best part and i'm going to stick for their scenes alone without thinking much abt story

The hawa ka jhonkas are so strong that i thought the BSD tent might just be blown away BUT not one candle is touched ...mind it! ... We need Thakur sa to balance out these lauly emotions.
