Deepika Padukone was the front runner to be Salman Khan's heroine in Bade Bhaiyya, but if the reports are to be believed then Sonam Kapoor might be the lucky one to have won this race. Looks like Dippy lost out this one to the Bhaag Milkha Bhaag actor who will feature opposite Sallu in a family drama. And no, it was no cake walk, but destiny and Deepika's date issues landed Ms Kapoor in this spot. We also hear that SK wanted Elli Avram to be cast opposite him after Deepika couldn't allocate her dates, but the makers insisted on Sonam for the role. Many also believe that Sonam's remuneration is being discussed and she will soon sign the dotted line.
The stylish diva has featured along with the Dabangg actor in her debut Saawariya, while that film was just an extended cameo of Khan, here she can romance him in a full-fledged film. And it might also be a major ego boost for Sonam, for she beat Deepika in this role. Not just Ms Padukone, Sonam also put behind everyone from Kareena Kapoor Khan, Anushka Sharma, Ileana D'Cruz, Nargis Fakhri to romance Sallu in this movie.
