Arbaaz Khan replaces Katrina Kaif with Sonam Kapoor in Dolly Ki Doli

Rumorus were rife that Arbaaz was considering casting Kat in his next but the filmmaker has finally signed the Kapoor lass to play lead in Dolly Ki Doli

Arbaaz Khan's next production venture is a women centric film titled Dolly Ki Doli which be directed by debutant Abhishek Dogra. And before Sonam Kapoor was brought onboard, we had learnt that Arbaaz had approached Katrina Kaif for his film. Since Salman Khan isn't part of the project maybe his younger brother thought of casting a bankable starlet and who better than Ms Kaif, right? Then we wonder why Arbaaz decided to rope in Sonam. Maybe too much has been said about Kat's personal life of late and her equation with Sallu is also not-so-warm. So to keep things neutral, the Dabangg 2 director went for a safer option, wethinks. Personally, a wise decision by Arbaaz considering his bade bhaiyya is close to him but professionally we aren't sure coz Anil Kapoor's beti hasn't pulled of a film on her own till now, no peeps?

Dolly Ki Doli is set to go on floors in January 2014 and Sonam will reprise the role of a north Indian girl in the flick. Confirming the news, Arbaaz told a leading daily, "We wanted a girl who can do justice to the character. I'm happy to have Sonam onboard. When we narrated the script to her, she admitted that she could instantly identify with Dolly."

The Vigil Idiot: Dhoom 3

DECEMBER 24, 2013 8:15 AM BY SAHIL RIZWAN

10EDIT_2.jpgAh, the last big release of the year! I was hoping this would be something special and, boy, did Aamir Khan (playing twin heisters Sahir and Samar) deliver! Vijay Krishna Acharya's Dhoom 3 is that rare gem of a film that gets everything so spectacularly wrong, you can't help but marvel at the effort it must have taken to come up with something so stupid. Granted, a star cast that comprises Abhishek Bachchan (ACP Jai), Uday Chopra (sidekick Ali) and Katrina Kaif (Leggy McLeggerson) doesn't inspire much confidence in the acting department. But when you're going to copy the script from sources like The Prestige and The Dark Knight, you expect something by way of a story, right? Right? Oh, well. Merry Christmas to us all, anyway!

Bebo-Hrithik back after 12 years in an intense love story
Bebo-Hrithik back after 12 years in an intense love story
Kareena Kapoor

Karan Johar and Karan Malhotra are on a winning track. The producer-director duo, the team behind the Hrithik Roshan-Priyanka Chopra, Rs 100-crore film, 'Agneepath' (2012), is back on course with Dharma Productions' 'Shuddhi'. It is known that Hrithik will play the lead and joining the light-eyed superstar will beKareena Kapoor.

Says KJo, "I'm excited to see Hrithik and Kareena back after 12 years." Yes, Duggu and Bebo were last seen together in 2001, in Subhash Ghai's Yaadein and later in Karan's super-duper hit Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham. In the time gone by, both actors have done different pieces of work separately. And though Karan doesn't look at their casting as a coup, he feels both actors will bring in the required energy that his director has envisioned.

KJo says, "When Karan (Malhotra) came to me with Shuddhi, his desire was to cast Hrithik and Kareena. I spoke to both of them and they were happy to be on board. The film is an intense love story and because it has a reincarnation theme, he has written a script that is dramatic and outstanding. Also, such a theme requires actors who can bring the desired intensity. To me, it is really an important casting. But I don't look at it as a coup. Kareena is beautiful, talented and a powerhouse performer. And Hrithik, well, what can I say? He can melt a nation just with his eyes.''

Karan Johar's favourite reincarnation films Madhumati (1958) Karz (1980) Kudrat (1981)Karan Arjun (1995)

Di 🤗

I didnt like Ash in Dhoom 2. Hrithik stole the show for me. Dhoom 1 was also good.

Abhishek and Uday Chopra are so repetitive
