Ramesh: "People in Govt jobs and the kids are lucky one to have public holiday (Muharam) and enjoying the SRT Farewell" |
sriteja8: "Feeling jealous & annoyed: Dravid deserved a similar farewell as well. #Diehard Dravid fan (DDF)" |
Devine: "You know, when Sachin was going up the steps and walking along the balcony to the dressing room, I was somehow expecting that he would look back again. Hold up his bat, stand at the balcony for a while and maybe give a final wave so everyone could get one last glimpse...but he didnt. Reminding us that he is probably the only person in the stadium who doesnt think he is god. #divinitypersonified!" |
Dman: "Do people not realise this is India's first innings? I think its hugely disrespectful to to the Windies assuming that was Sachins final innings" |
Sundar: "All those who are praying for an Indian collapse so that they can see Tendulkar's second innings: that is so anti-team spirit! Moreover, Tendulkar's current form and record in the second innings is not so great and it is much better that he leaves on a high of 74 in the last innings." |
It's been one-way traffic for India in this session despite the loss of the big wicket. 125 runs came for them, but it was all about Tendulkar in the morning. He started brilliantly, got to his 50 quickly and was looking in fine touch (Tendulkar of the old as they say). But against the run of play, he edged one to slip right after drinks. Pujara was lucky to survive a chance at short-leg which was questionably ruled not out by the third umpire, but apart from that, he has looked comfortable. West Indies will need to find some inspiration to fight here as this seems to be going the same way as the Eden Gardens |
SaifS: "Really cross with BCCI for having cut two chances of us seeing Tendulkar play by inviting the Windies, it would have been a lot better to invite the Lankans who could've given a better fight and whom we have strong relations with, some very old friends of Tendulkar to be with him on this last outing. Even Bangladesh on current form look better for a fight than having two 3 day test matches with the WI, more importantly when they are the last two for the little master."đ
Nick: "With all this talk of "oh why invite the WI, they rubbish, we not going to see SRT bat again" perhaps its worth remembering that there was meant to be a really nice long tour to SA round about now..." |
