Gravity of Earth pulls all matter to be equidistant from its center. If it were to be a 'square', the corners being farthest will be pulled gradually to a position where they fall to the same level of the surrounding 'crust'. Earth's surface is also covered by 71% water that has a tendency of finding its (lowest) level, or rather it flows to low levels, making it all a uniform globe of watery sphere; the minor protrusions (land & mountains) not counting.
There are highly irregular shaped objects, Mars' rock-like moons (Phobos & Deimos). But their gravity is extremely low to overcome the solid rigidity of that rock to break down to powder.

i wrote exactly this in the test paper and i learned it by heart from yahoo!!and i am the only one in the class who got this Q right!

Earth is not round, first of all.

It's poles are flattened so

And it is not square because square is a two dimensional figure and then there would be no life on it if it is two dimensional
