CC was not the better choice but like you said Do Dil is similar to IPK and I think SI was trying hard not to do another show like IPK and with good reason.

As for CC, I don't fault the cast it is the channel who rushed to bank on Sanaya's popularity and the PH who handled the show sloppy for months. Anuj gave the show a new lease of life and now CVs are putting forward a sincere effort to make the show work

@Mandy:- I agree with you, the fault of CC not working is mainly the channel's as they rushed in too soon. But it is going to be 5 months for the show in 1-2 weeks. But still the creatives are not able to get what the broad characteristics are going to be for the cast. Everyone is either black or white and now Mayuri may well be a vamp who is after money. None of the tracks they have opened have been given a decent ending. And they kept on changing the premise of the show so many times that now I have forgotten what the show is about because UB and CC may well be on good terms forever and they may show some tracks with CC changing everyone in the show and close the show. The fault is not of the cast but the execution is horrible.

Yes I am watching Diya and Bati because of SRK in the show for this week. SRK is a quiz master for the final quiz. One thing I notice is that the way the promotions are done in this show, the characters are interwoven very well in the show - loved the way Salman came in as Chulbul pandey for Dabbang 2 promotion. That is why DABH appeals to me in parts. Had they gotten a good actress, this show would have been awesome. And the title song is my favorite - I love the BG scores and the title song when they play it in the dramatic sequences.

Pri:- I think the reason DABH is raking in good TRPs is that they made neither Bhabho nor Sandhya completely white or black. Both have their own drawbacks. Bhabho has her own insecurities but she is a fair person and Sandhya has been short changed in the marriage for no fault of hers but she is trying to live her dream when she sees her husband supporting. I think the characterization and the way neither is painted too black nor too white is what appealed to the Indian population in general. All of us are mostly in nuclear families but back here most of them are in joint families and there you win some and you lose some. That is why this one show is so popular and now they are remaking the same show in Kannada(because Kannada TV doesn't allow dubbed shows) and that is also raking in good TRPs.

On other hand CC was started as Sony's answer to DABH but they totally messed up with the characterizations. UB is completely black one who didn't feel an iota of guilt when she was trying to break up her own son's marriage and there is no in-depth feelings to any of the characters. I think that is what is the reason CC didn't take off at all. Add to it the characters keep on appearing and disappearing without serving any purpose. My neighbor aunty was a big fan of IPK and Khushi and she is 65+ yrs. Her both kids had inter-religion marriages - daughter married a christian and son married a muslim. She was also saying that I can't understand UB at all and that is why she gave up CC even when she loves Sanaya so much as Khushi. She was saying Khushi's character was much better than CC. So when general TRP audience also feel this way, then the show obviously has missed the bus by a huge margin.

Oh the things one notices on aaraam se rewatch. The Guest House is currently a certain Mr Khan's house. 😆

The tender touch, the carrying her, care in the car. His is worried only for her. It is almost like he does not hear Buaji and Payal's questions. The way he lays her down. Sigh! And she holds on to him. Double sigh!

Even when Payal is screaming at him, he wants to take care of her cut hand. Even when Buaji asks him to leave after warning him, he stops and looks at her. And then looks again once outside. Only when he is sure that she is being well taken care off is when he finally leaves.

The complete episode was pure magic. And the acting from everyone ⭐️⭐️

When I watch these episodes, I always wonder, where the director's brief ended and where the actors personal touches came in. It can't be credit to any one, it is a team effort and it shows in every frame.
