But nothing beats khushi and Arnav's expressions while making the deal. And did I detect a trace of admiration in his stare that this slip of girl could actually stand up to him?

Agree. Mami was looking good in this episode without the gaudy makeup and she is very intelligent. I loved the way Buaji had a small smile on her lips when Payal is praising Khushi. Buaji loves Khushi a lot but somehow she tried to mask it under her indifference. Loved her dialogue - Holi khel ke aaye ho kya? Ever ready to tease and taunt Khushi because she knows Khushi can take anything in her stride. And absolutely loved Payal and Khushi's talk on the bed under the stars. Somehow the creatives completely forgot the bond Payal and Khushi had after marriage. Both Deepali and Sanaya were awesome in this scene. Sanaya looks so ethereal and beautiful - somehow even with damn good costumes, I don't feel Sanaya is looking that beautiful in CC as she looked here in IPK. And Akash bitwa had dialogues - Gasp. He had something to say other than stand as a wall paper. Lovely episode. And yes Lavanya already knows that Arnav is giving too much importance to chamkili and Arnav doesn't feel the need to explain the things he did to Lavanya - the grains are shifting.

Lavanaya asks a casual question "...tum us so not important chamkili ko itna importance kyun de rahe ho?" A hard hitting question for ASR, a question he probably has never put into words so far, a question that makes him stop and think for few seconds before nonchalantly dismissing Lavanya.

The truth is Khushi has bewitched him from their first meeting. He throws the challenge knowing fully well that she will accept it. While Khushi herself musters strength from DM before agreeeing, he does not show an iota of surprise on her acceptance.

The siblings scenes interwoven was beautiful. When Payal informs that Khushi does all the work back at Lucknow, a fleeting pride and happiness springs on Buaji's face before she masks it - very subtle but nicely done scene.

Totally...she has bewitched him , he loves/ hates her spirit and when she signs ... there is a flash of admiration in his eyes!! Barun aced that 😆

Good.. will look forward to it.😃 I watched the english version for 10 min, the essence of Khushi is lost and hence I did not attempt to watch after that. ASR's was quite ok given the way he speaks.

Blue shirt clad ODB sealing the duel-unto-death deal with Khushi, with all the attitude of a Haaliwood ishtaar

A battle-scarred Khushi returns home, paint stained, and dupatta torn. Just as she is about to break down before a concerned Payal, Buaji happens and stiffens Khushi's spine with her taunts.

Such subtle touches that establish and reiterate the characteristics of our dear friends, in the early days of the show. ⭐️

Anjali-Arnav conversation lays the foundation of the "saansein ruk jaayengi" motif, that recurs again and again throughout the show, and comes to a head with Arnav's confession to Anjali after Shyam's ouster.

Payal-Khushi relax and talk on the doorsteps, and Khushi, in her inimitable style, does not dwell too long on the sadness, and shifts the conversation to hopeful dreams of a love-filled marriage both for Payal, and herself.

Unbeknownst to Payal, Akash has already decided to diligently work towards making this dream real for her...Akshay was sweetness personified in that scene. ⭐️ And the bg is another favourite too.

Such a perfectly balanced, touching episode. Proud to be a fan. 😃

My impression the first time around was the character completely seeped under his skin around the Teej episodes.. I am looking to see if my hunch was correct, after watching the episodes in its entirety this time.
