@ Payaliya I think the banter between Manishwa and MD re Sid's fans was indeed scripted and Sid knew nothing about it which is why his look was like--WHAT? ME? REALLY?

Also Jhalak is amazing as per me so it may hold your attention; more than fiction perhaps😉; for me Jhalak has been a show I have watched since season 1 even when I was not so crazy about the judges; it is only from season 4 that I have grown to LOVE it thanks to MD and Remo and then MD, Remo and KJo.

I feel DID supermom and IDS pale in comparison coz i had the opportunity to catch snippets of these two this weekend and they did not hold my interest like Jhalak.

I watched JDJ first edn every episode - Mona Singh was fresh from Jassi jaise koi nahin then.

Judges used to be very critical about her performance but she took home the first JDJ trophy.

I really used to love that Jassi show.

I think TV stars do have advantage over others when it comes to JDJ.

I'm here Sheens 😃 Was over in the Dance Critique Thread actually 😛

I'm hopeful for the show keeping my interest because there are a lot of hooks for me. Initially I was like I might watch for Sid but the list has gotten so expansive that even when he leaves I will still be watching.

And yes it was totally scripted. I didn't pay attention to it the first time so had to rewind it to catch the reference. First time was 'who is this Siddharth?' And then I realized, crap, they're talking about Sid aka Sidwa aka Siddharth 😆 😆 But it looks like Sid didn't get the script so I'm happy about that. I would be a little put out if he was in on the self-promotion part.

What's IDS?

@ Appy I was quite upset when Mona won over Shweta; for me the concept of non dancer progressing just does not make sense because I watch a dance competition and to be honest the non dancer in many shows and many times wins because of fans and/or channel involvement.

Mona won because she was Jassi--and at that time my friend and I were so pissed off because she would give interviews saying i am tired of Jassi and I want to be done with this show and on JDJ she would use the Jassi card to ask for votes; whereas Shweta Salve DANCED her way to the final; Mona being a sony favourite won

season 2 AGAIN Prachi was rumoured to have won because of ekta kapoor.

season 3 : this is when the pankhis fever REALLY hit a dance show with one of the contestants thus leading to the ouster of Hard Kaur who was a fantabulous dancer and IMO should have been in the finals; and i was happy Bhai Chung won because even though Gauhar could dance she was just not nice(too much drama)yes Bhaichung may have won but he has football fans and he was from the NE; those folks vote for their own

season 4: Sushie! He should have won! Again Chang was a sony man: was from indian idol and had a contract with sony; but Remo sir and MD more than amde up for Sushie losing and Chang winning; again NE votes also

thank heavens JDJ was taken away from Sony by BBc and given to colors

Season 5: my fav judges ever and the addition of KJo and the choreographers. I wanted Shibani to go to the finals and I blame phangurls and their voting NOT the channel; I am aware that they pulled all nighters to vote; and even the finals: rashmi should have won; or ritwick but NOOO phangurls love got in the way

season 6: Let's see but I feel certain phangurls have already shown their presence and if i had my way just for the man's humility if anyone had to stay for the channel's sake I had rather the humble man

I was disappointed by the channel darling's actual performance; expected more from Salman

OMG I was also like who is this that MD is on about--Ohhh Sidwa WHAT??but manish has fans and I know that; from what I hear many people when JDJ6 was announced spammed Raj Nayyar's twitter to ask that manish is made host; anyways his expression had me ROFL

P.S. Tannu, my sis and I were so blown over by someone's humility and put off by channel darling's "country's darling vote for me; i am so beautiful and coy" act and phangurls that we were like whatever it takes to keep Sidwa in; however the voting lines were not open for us even at 1am IST last night; i am thinking intl viewers are not able to vote

Sheena why don't you tweet your appreciation of someone's humbleness to him and tell him to keep up the effort 😉 I'm sure he'd love the words of support 😃

Also how random; I did not expect a particular phangurl to descend so quickly into the DCT on the JDJ forum 😛 I thought the DD phagurls would arrive first but no bechara's phangurl got there first 😆

hmm my sister and Tannu already did I think; so he knows
and Hiral and I have a theory and i think we are right: on some AT before the whole do not discuss JDJ rule came in we had mentioned that he had to be down to earth and humble for us to appreciate him; and he may have read that we think because how else do you explain the shift from being so talkative and full of masti on the BV sets to being so shy and quiet on Jhalak; yes judges but even while in the hawa mahal😕😆
