Case of wrong identity

ADubai-based publication carried reports of Shakti Kapoor blasting Salman Khan on a microblogging website. The report stated that Shakti tweeted: "Mehak is salmans girl. soo she has a big contestant 2 win. big bos is Salman(sic). A person who hits women.gets drunk and drive over people hunts deers shame(sic)." However Kapoor reveals, "I am not on Twitter. Someone is playing mischielf. I would never say such things about anyone." If not Shakti then we wonder who the culprit is?

Sonakshi cares for her staff

Sonakshi cares for her staff
Sonakshi Sinha More Pics
Sonakshi Sinha is a favourite with her staff.

Not only does she address her make-up artist, hair-stylist and other staff by their first name, but she also cares for them. Whenever lunch/dinner, snacks breaks are announced, the actress ensures that her staff are eating too.

That's not all, Sona has also become a favourite with the other unit members of the films she's working on. It is learnt that she makes it a point to remember everyone's names.

And when there's time between shots, she also makes the crew around her laugh with her witty jokes.

Ranbir Kapoor: I am not friends with Imran

Once considered back-slapping buddies (what with their bromance at an award show and their constant jokes on each other), today it seems, Ranbir and Imran were never close friends in the first place! Recently, at the zoOm studios, we asked Ranbir about his Khan buddy, and he confessed, "Imran and I aren't friends as such. We don't hang out; we come from completely different worlds and have different sets of friends." When quizzed whether fierce competition had led to this scheme of things, he said, "No, I don't think we can be compared as actors, we're very different kinds. He has his strengths and I have mine." Hmm, now we can't call this a break-up, if there was no dostana to begin with, can we?

'Our relationship is sweet & spicy'

Vidya Balan on her relationship with Siddharth Roy Kapoor

Amrita Mulchandani

Vidya Balan has never spoken about her relationship with Siddharth Roy Kapoor. They began dating on the sets of No One Killed Jessica and have been seeing each other since. They are serious about their relationship and it is inevitable that they will tie the knot eventually. However they haven't spoken about their relationship at all. The actress was in Ahmedabad recently to promote her upcoming film where she dropped her guard. When asked about wedding bells in the near future, she said, "Why are you in a hurry? I'll be happy to get married. But at the moment I am enjoying my courtship period." When asked to describe her relationship in one word the actress got coy, "Undhiyu is the word that describes our relationship — tasty, sweet, spicy and salty. It has everything," she blushed.

Katrina Kaif is the only actress doing three films with one banner and the reigning Khan trio

Upala KBR

Everyone knows that in Bollywood, it is the heroes who call the shots. The leading ladies are just incidental to the plot. So when one of B-Town's most powerful production houses signs an actress for three big projects, it is definitely time for the competition to sit up and take notice. Not only is Katrina Kaif doing three films for Aditya Chopra's home production, she has been paired opposite the top three Khans.
While Kareena Kapoor has already worked with Salman, Aamir and Shah Rukh, they were all projects with different production houses. Clearly, Chopra's production house has never put so much faith in one actress. In fact, they've rarely repeated their leading ladies (barring Rani Mukerji), and often work with the No 1 actress of the time before moving on to the next big star. Rekha acted in Silsila (1981), Juhi in Darr (1993), and Madhuri Dixit in Dil Toh
Pagal Hai (1997).
Interestingly, Kat has already worked with the banner twice — in New York (2009) and Mere Brother Ki Dulhan (2011). Although she has worked with Salman in many films; come 2012, she begins Dhoom 3 with Aamir and an untitled film with Shah Rukh for the first time. The trade is abuzz with the news of how the actress, who has hit it off with Adi, has replaced Rani as the new favourite of the banner.
Katrina makes light of the fact that next year she will have three releases with the Khan triumvirate. "I am just grateful to be working with such big directors and stars. I believe that the success of a film is in the hands of destiny. I look at it as a job where I have to give the best that I can. I have always learned something from every actor I have worked with, so I hope to learn from Shah Rukh and Aamir too."
Trade analyst Vikas Mohan rubbishes whispers of Katrina's friendship with Adi Chopra behind her three-film lottery, saying, "Kat was seen as the reason behind Mere Brother Ki Dulhan's success. She was the calling card of the film. Promotional strategies were planned around her and she pulled it off. She cemented her position in the industry, that's why she is the only actress who has signed three films with Aditya." The amount of money the banner has riding on her is mind-boggling. Adds Mohan, "On paper, all three films have approximately 200 crore riding on them."
A spokesperson for the production house says, "The decision to have Katrina in three films was made on the basis of only one parameter — the script — followed by the director's vision. Katrina was always the director's first choice for two of those three films."
Another trade analyst Vajir Singh adds, "She was known as a nonactress, but with
Zindagi Na Milegi Dobaara, Rajneeti and New York, Kat proved she can act. For
Mere Brother Ki Dulhan, she went all out to promote it like a hero."
We wonder what Rani has to say about all this, eh?
