humans are flawed and mortals. That's why they are allowed to make mistakes and learn from it. Sobti is no different imo.

We have seen only his work and don't anything about him in person. Its wrong to judge someone by few printed iv and tv clippings. So all this worshipping and bashing both are obcessive imo as behaviour pattern are same but only difference is the approach.

Barun is a good actor. I agree. He has the most expressive eyes I've ever seen on TV or even films. That may be the main reason I kept watching IPKKND. But now that IPKKND is over, we all are looking forward to his future ventures. Since he is trying in BW, i really hope he makes it there.

As I said, Barun is a good actor. But the best actor? I don't think so. I think he still needs and still can improve his acting. He has improved since 3 last years but still can improve to impress us. I guess he himself doesnot agree when we say he's the best actor because I'm sure he knows he can do better. he himself said there's a learning scope in every thing. I was watching IPKKND few days ago and I found some flaws in his acting.

- Speech delivery. (might be because of ASR's role)

- Sometimes he lacks expressions

no one is perfect dear and life is a journey where you learn each daym both professionally and personally. Barun is not exception. Yup he does need to improve his diction, dancing skills to be successful in movies. Who is the best in a business where people are doing different kind of work portraying different characters? I liked shahrukh khan in swades and chak de but disliked him in jab tak hain jaan and ra one. Does that mean a best actor became worst all of a sudden? no na, it depends on the role, and its portrayal. Barun did brilliant job portraying ASR and Shravan, atleast he impressed me much and I do think he is far far better than his contemporaries on tv.😊

I know this is TV. They are pressurized and has to deliver the episode but this ain't gonna work in movie. BW is a platform where each and every expressions are observed so he'll need to be careful.

bw is a different ball game together and very stiff competition. Barun thought to opt for it as natural growth of his career and there is nothing wrong in it. If you don't try anything new, u will get stagnated.As per his acting skills, he has potentials and with time and experience, will brush up his skills. I do think he knws his craft although cuming fromn nonacting background.

3 years ago he was still unfamiliar to acting and now he is the most popular actor on TV. I'm sure if he learns, he gonna do wonders.

Now, personality problems.

We all love the goofy friendly funny Barun, But BW is something else. He needs to add arrogance to his personality. He said in Gul's interview that it became a habit to keep his head down and walk. But now, he needs to keep his head high above all and show what he actually deserves.

And he needs to work on audio interviews, media interaction and mass public appearance.

no comments about that as I never met him, but he does come across as a sensible guy and knws his goals and priorities in life.

Look-Wise.

I don't mind in long hair and stubble. But he needs to be more careful about his physical appearance as he is now in public eye.

I will maintain silence here as looks are secondary and I don't gush on sobti's looks.😊

I know some may tell me, that he did not try his luck for BW for fame. But honestly, i think if many join here (including Barun) is to get their talent recognised on a bigger platform with a more varied audience. Popular, fame and success are important there. Why would he act if no one's gonna watch it? BW is a bigger dream and there is no harm in trying your dream come true. its very human.Why do established BW stars try to get into Hollywood then? same reason I guess.

I'm very excited to see him rise and shine above all. He has a long way to reach the Khans. But I believe the day he gets a good script, an excellent lead role to portray with a good banner, undoubtedly he will make it huge. I'm hoping for the best for him. Yes, I feel he will succeed in BW.

I am not expecting him to be next khan of BW , but I do want his talent to be recognised and his work to be acknowledged.

love ur answers. I agree that Barun is like any one of us, only difference being that he is in a job where his actions are monitored and talked about in depth. None of us can be called perfect. We all learn as we grow and try to improve "if we desire" in areas where we lack. Barun too is the same. I watched Shraddha for the first time and his acting is very raw.. still to reach his potential. But there are scenes where we could see sparks of the Barun's acting we know now. He tries and tries but sometimes he fails. But with bhph, I feel his acting took a leap. He was good in comedy and excelled in acting like an irresponsible rich pampered lad. I feel from bhph, Barun improved tremendously wrt acting.

I believe ASR would have been difficult for Barun to potray compared to shravan. ASR as Barun himself said, is an intense character who doesn't speak much compared to the girl khushi. But still he had to convey his pain, anger, reason for arrogance, love, jealousy,lust everything. It is easier if you have words to convey the message. because I feel the words also have the emotions / feelings within them and the expressions will come automatically when you say it .. for the actors. But with ASR, Barun didn't have that luxury. I loved the way Barun understood his character and brought ASR reachable. I will say the director, writer and Barun made ASR memorable. But without Barun's own reflection of ASR, it would have been very difficult for the director to achieve the craze that ASR got ultimately.

With regards to IPK closure I want to say something. I too wanted arnav - khushi to end. I didn't care much for the future of IPK after the A-K story end. I didn't send anything to anyone but hoped that the creators will consider a leap instead of replacing the actor for ASR. I don't know what prompted me to think that.. afterall I could have just turned the tv off.

About the people who criticize Barun continously, I think they are a disgruntled lot who are really angry at the show's end. Considering some of them are SI fans, it must have been okay for them to see the show go on with another male lead. So, end of the show + barun's fans request for show's end triggered their anger.
