because Guinevere had an extra marital affair with Lancelot. She was with Arthur only for the sake of duty, she really loved Lancelot. But then she chose duty over love. She met Lancelot for the last time but Arthur caught them together, set them up for trial before beheading them. He was emotionally disturbed by his queen's betrayal, that's why he lost the battle fought against Mordred and his life..

Correct. Except that she WAS in love with Arthur. He won her( 🤢 ) in a tournament & it was love at first sight sorta thing. But then came Lance...

Of course, there are diff versions.

ohhh...Pree just said that Arthur really respected Guinevere, held her high in regard but I dun think she mentioned love...she just said Guinevere and Lancelot loved each other.
