I don't know..that was an engraving and this is a painting... Not that the two aren't interchangeable..I mean you can always have engravings of paintings and vice-versa..

LIN! Please come to the Cottage soon!

Lin and Comrades. Please see this.

This last Friday was the first time I had an English Literature after months! The last was sometime in November 2011!! Anyway, there I was, sitting in the gallery classroom that The First and Second Floor-departments so luckily have (I'm on the Fourth floor, basically, the roof!), with my friends, one of the students in the room reading out the simple short story we were supposed to be doing when I realized it. You, Lin, have taught me what a dozen odd years of schooling in English didn't. You have taught me to read within the chapters. To find out whether the words before me mean anything higher than what is superficial. I mean, poems usually have a second or third level of meaning, but prose pieces usually don't. And when I read books, the thing plays like a film in my mind, so it is a continuous process where I don't wait to sit and think over what I have read. I usually just finish and then think of it. But you and your story have changed that. Even the other Comrades have a hand in this. All the efforts to analyze, to read more into the lines, it's changed my perspective of the simple act of "reading" and I was amazed to find my mind trying to see deeper than what the Professor was explaining and actually finding useful matter! And since it is a side-subject for us, it really helps because we won't be taught in the details that the Honours students are taught.

So, this Thank You is for all of you. For making my mind mature just a little bit more unconsciously. :)

I love all my Comrades and dearest Lady Lin!!

No need to apologize, Riti! We are all merely trying to lift the veil of mystery that Lin spreads over her story...Everyone racks their brains and all kinds of propositions are possible! Let's wait and see what happens...

I was also illiterate dear..but i googled some info on that painting...it is work by william blake..18th century poet/artist..this painting name is SATA AMOR ADAM EVA..
in bible I suppose they have a story of how Adam and eve were created by God and were asked not to eat any fruit from sacred tree...there an instance where satan is watchin adam and eve makin love..and after adam falls asleep...satan lures eve to eat fruit from tree...therefore breaking rule created by God..thus God curses woman and man to earth with woman bearing child and man bearing all labor...and satan being cursed as enemy of mankind..Painting which is given in update is of narration where satan is watching Adam and eve in embrace...There is also work by Milton-Paradise lost on whose reference I guess william blake made these series of paintings... what is interesting here is depiction of Satan... it is normally described as serpent but william has shown it as man covered with serpent...may be some significance in that...
I apologise if any of fact I stated is wrong..I might be wrong in interpreting as I myself not familiar with bible and these narrations...

and then...abt this William Blake's painting too...i had no idea about it. Never come across a bible myself too...but Thnx to Riti- her googling and Explanation here helped a lot.
