She was trying to get against Arnav's rude and annoying behavior towards her, Indeed things became too OTT sometimes in the show but Khushi was like that always.

Specially when we had seen such good scenes between them it felt like if these could have been skipped it wouldn't have hurt.

Earlier scenes such as when Khushi throws hot tea on Arnav and her way of apologizing to him was very much in Khushi style.
