and he comments on an actor who earned doing legit stuff and now is a member of parliament in that sick fashion.
you know, the first time i was eligible to vote, i didn't. 21 at the time, very roughed up by life, classic indifference to law and norm, refused to listen to mother, slept through the polling hours. but ever since then, have tried election after election to cast my vote. oh the drama, no your ration card is not in bihar, you can't, let's make voters i cards, oops your name is wrong, you'll have to send it to outer earth to fix it, sorry no vote, and now, oh oh you live outside india, you can't vote. my philippina help is invited to vote every election through her embassy, i am not.
i feel angry. now in the process of finding some way to get registered and go to calcutta to give my vote if need be.
then i read about nirupam. and i wonder was it such a bad thing not to vote.
