New guy replace Barun?

Even someone supposedly as hot as Viraf cannot be what Barun is Sonia. Its just a sad fact.

Even when he looks so unkempt and looks like a lost soul, he still is managing to hold people. IPK is soon going to lose a huge chunk of its viewers if something goes wrong.

The thing is, if they'll replace Viraf or someone else as Arnav, the fandom will go crazy. The very first demand in the petition was to end the stroy with Arnav and Khushi ..played by Barun and Sanaya if Barun cannot be retained.

Because his character has had so much impact that its hard to see someone else there. But I sincerely believe, what Barun is to ASR and what ASR is to Barun...is something which can never be changed and no one can fill his shoes. Even Sanaya said so...she'd rather have a new character than have someone play ASR..because it belongs to Barun.

Its better to have a happy ending than to watch any other guy replace him. I saw the new gopi vahu...just for one episode, and I gagged.

Though Gopi Vahu's character is one of the stupidest character, what Gia Manek was to it...it was something else entirely.

Sigh. I know. Only if he'd listen to the woman in his life and get a darned haircut. AND SHAVE. KEEP that sexy stubble, but not a dark one.

My cousin brother had come yesterday morning from his college...and he too was looking like Barun. The same unkempt hair and too dark stubble...and refused to go get a haircut...but... The very first thing my mom dis after asking him to keep his bag was to push him out of the house to get a haircut.

Only if people could be as stubborn as my mother.

@Shreya- I agree with you. But my problem is that I just cannot see ASR die. If they introduce Viraf as new love interest for Khushi, they will have to kill of ASR right? I love ASR to much and cannot see him die.😭

Nope! They cannot do that. simply can't.

Actually they can't do either. Neither they can introduce a new character in Khushi's life nor replace Barun...

And that's what is taking time...SP cannot finally decide what to do..because Fandom is anyway going so crazy, just imagine what will happen if Barun is replaced or Arnav is killed or phased out of the story.

People will go berserk. The story is about two lovers called Arnav AND khushi. No one else should come. It would be the biggest deception.

That woman, Suzana says character is important not actor, I agree to a certain extent...but what happens when the actor himself makes that role larger than life and succeeds in making it a huge success?

Then that actor too becomes a large part of the character and to imagine someone in place of him becomes difficult.

@Shreya- Ur right. They will face audience wrath in both ways. If they replace ASR or they kill off ASR and bring in new character. I just don't want ASR being killed off. I know Barun was and will always be the best actor to portray ASR. But I think we should give Viraf a chance.

I know. It sounds nice too...

Give a chance, let's see how it goes..but after 1.5 years? After watching Barun playing ASR catching Khushi when she falls, shout at her, wipe her tears, hold her, hug her..and what not..

It would be really difficult to watch someone else doing the same thing and things would become more bitter as people would always compare the new guy to Barun and it would leave nothing but a bitter taste in their mouths ...reminding them of the deception...

And people would leave eventually because no one watches it to get heart ache. Really.

For me, at least..it would be like killing Arnav himself is he is replaced.

I cannot see anyone else as Arnav or Khushi. Had it been for Sanaya leaving, I would have felt the same. But now, I just wish she should leave. The tracks are horrendous anyway.

@Shreya- I know it will be really hard to accept a new face as ASR because we are all so used to Barun. And Viraf will also find it harder to be accepted if he replaces Barun because people are bound to compare him and Barun. So if he is portraying new character, it will be easier for him. People will still remember the deception even if Viraf doesn't replace Barun when they see him romancing Sanaya/Khushi. I too cannot accept anyone else except Barun as ASR. Sanaya should leave this godforsaken show. But she is too committed and dedicated towards it.
