I don't think he would put the success of his first BW film on the line, opt out of the show before it premieres, and we have heard of no other offers being official.
There is something else that is driving him to do this. I think he's going to go MIA and next we hear of him will either confirm or deny the theory

even if not for the article..I think along with script issues, his health...there are personal issues too.
Though the script issue is the biggest one.
Because fatigue and all can be dealt within 2-3 weeks.
Just lie down on the bed for a week and do nothing..watch good movie..relax...have good food...take hot showers...and sleep.
Do this for a week, and you'll be rejuvenated.
