Anyone here seen the movie "One day" starring Anne Hathaway and Jim Sturgess? It's based on the book of the same name by David Nicholls and it was a decent movie.

@ bold: That's the million dollar question. I just don't understand where her blind devotion is coming from. He's done her more harm than good. Ever since he walked into her life, she has been put through hell by him. The man has an inflated ego, a condescending attitude, serious anger management issues and abusive tendencies. He does what he does, throws tantrums, dishes out threats and expects everyone to do as he says because "he said so". It's like he is the center of the universe!

And I can't believe he is shown to be a Harvard graduate and one of the top business tycoons of the nation. Like please. How did he get this far in life with that God awful personality? Don't you need to be ethical, humble, diplomatic and level-headed to succeed in the field of business, where human interaction plays an instrumental role? This dude goes around slapping his employees if they piss him off. With such a vile attitude, in the real world his "company" would sink faster than the Titanic.

The other thing that has me rolling my eyes is when i see certain "fans" actually touch the feet of these Bollywood stars. Really?! There was some reality show where one of them Bollywood actors came to publicize his movie and this one contestant who seemed clearly older than him, goes forward and makes the touching of feet gesture😳. I mean really?! and most of all WHY?

Word! On what basis did they pick Amitabh, a movie star, to represent India at an event that had absolutely nothing to do with films? Like you said, why not go for a sports personality or someone who did something noteworthy for the country? It's annoying how Bollywood celebrities are given prominence over everyone else regardless of the occasion.

Geez, why would that contestant touch the feet of someone that was younger than them solely because they were a movie star? It's one thing to admire a celeb, but worshiping them like an obsessed devotee is beyond W*F-ish. No wonder most superstars are so arrogant and egoistic. Kisi ko agar itne unchey pedestal par rakhoge toh woh ahista ahista apne aap ko superior hi samjhe ga na.

Oh it's my clinical rotation in a lab, before I can get my degree and get certified. It's great but it is BORING. I could do half the stuff that they make me "observe" and I've been "observing" for three months. It's getting painful now. But at least I will be done soon! 😆

Sarah, fikar not.. I wasn't expecting anyone online either.. toh I guess you and I are on a SIMILAR boat in this case.. 😆

After my rotation, I have some stuff to do for school before graduation end of next week . And then I am DONE with this program. Phir toh chote motey kaam hain but nothing too terrible. I'll be working on my research project part time after that (separately, my student research wala PI hired me in April because he wanted me to continue on after I got done with the school mandated research too) and studying for my board exam (not really.. I think I am pretty much prepared to PASS it even if I don't make a 90% and that's all that matters to me at this point.. 😆). And of course, panicking about not getting an interview call from any of the med schools. I am seriously having a roller coaster type ride so far jahan aik din mein I go up and down at least 10 times between feeling confident about my application and then feeling k mujhey toh koi nahi ley ga..

So this is my fun life after Friday.. 😆😆
