Chris Nolan's statement regarding Aurora shooting---

The Dark Knight Rises director, Christopher Nolan, issued a statement regarding today's tragic events in Colorado.

He said:

Speaking on behalf of the cast and crew of 'The Dark Knight Rises', I would like to express our profound sorrow at the senseless tragedy that has befallen the entire Aurora community.

I would not presume to know anything about the victims of the shooting but that they were there last night to watch a movie. I believe movies are one of the great American art forms and the shared experience of watching a story unfold on screen is an important and joyful pastime.

The movie theatre is my home, and the idea that someone would violate that innocent and hopeful place in such an unbearably savage way is devastating to me.

Nothing any of us can say could ever adequately express our feelings for the innocent victims of this appalling crime, but our thoughts are with them and their families.

Suits cannot be judged by an episode or two. There is an underlying concrete story and character building which is MIND BLASTING! I really thought you would have loved this show knowing whatever I know of you. But oh well, to each its own.

Joker was supposed to attack Batman mentally and here Bane is giving him a physical competition...

It's not really as simple as that...the very CONCEPT of a MASK is used on MULTIPLE levels in the series...there are many mentions of why Batman chooses to wear a mask...there is a dialogue from Blake about it too early in the movie if you remember...throughout the movie they refer to Bane as the masked man and many times I'd pause and wonder which masked man are they talking about? Bane or Batman? Cuz they BOTH wear a mask...

Anyways speaking strictly of Bane...yes, the fact that we couldn't see his mouth when he spoke, that spooky gravelly kind of voice he had along with his hulking type of body added to his aura as a powerful and dangerous man...I never once compared him to the Joker cuz the Joker was demented on a different level, in a different way...The Joker too had his mask...his makeup...the basic point is that we ALL wear masks...of one type or the other.

OMG I was just going to tell you that! lol I was watching bits of The Dark Knight today and there's so many instances when you see Bruce in that Ed Stark-eque way. 😆 I found myself face-palming at those instances where he's being STUPIDLY honorable and easily putting his trust on certain people. LOL you're totally gonna facepalm in this installment as well then...Bruce is like REALLY dumb in some ways honestly...have to say that way Iron man is a smarter guy although he has other vices and makes a different set of stupid mistakes😆


Thanks for the GoT casting news...hmmm I'm trying to remember who Ramsay Bolton is...damn I'm just finding it so hard to keep track of all the characters in the series...lol maybe it will be easier when I can see their faces in the show😆

Oh yeah his story...well I think he mentioned that either his mother or his father died in front of him...the father was an alcoholic maybe...don't remember it clearly but the essence was about his view of the world and how he learnt to recognize the masks that ppl put on because he saw trauma early in his childhood and had lived in foster homes etc...and learnt that whenever he showed his emotions honestly...the extent of his anger, pain, ppl couldn't take it so he learnt to hide it behind a smile...that is what he was telling Bruce in that scene...that he learnt to see behind the masks ppl put up and he recognized him in an instant when he came to visit that orphanage one day.

Aren't all these relative things though? What makes sense to me, may not make sense to you...what I perceive to be strong characterization may not be the same for you and vice versa.

I didn't find anything memorable about the characters from what I watched of the show...plus I'm really not a fan of lawyer/cop shows...I need something more to keep me glued beyond the typical case solving...you speak of character interactions etc...don't know what epis I watched then cuz I didn't find anything really noticeably interesting about any of the relationships or characters...anyways like you said...to each their own.

Mash will show up soon enough to gush with you so enjoy that...I'm off to watch Sherlock.
