I had asked this exact same question in almost the exact same words in a rant post (earnshaw's post). people who make serials follow the ekta kapoor template. they feel that if they do not follow this template, audience will be unhappy and show will flop.

kya kare?? unka imagination itna hi limited hai...

i actually liked Sam in the first few episodes. he was awesome wid rishi. but then all dat madness started!🤢 n y is it dat a male n female come face to face n dey have to love or hate each other in every serial? cant they just know each other. in real life i know so many guys...dey arent frnds, love, enemies...i just KNOW them!

very truthfully, I had never liked him. neither in his 'brotherly' scenes nor his businessman scenes nor with indu. donno why. but they were unfair in making him so damn negative. rape and all was too much. chalo, rape bhi dikhaya, and uske baad kya??? uske baad, HD hit rock bottom.
