Hey Sarah!
And is that really a message people want to send - that men who tie up their wives and stab them with swords are actually just poor little lost boys at heart, and are really craving for the love of a good woman?! Yeah right.

Have you not noticed which show is the #1 show on desi TV right now?? The "logic" of MB's show is right up that alley of CT-Jalebiness...all abusive men are "lost little boys at heart needing understanding"...pathetic how they encourage even more foolishness from women busy trying to mother such "victims".
How is it Christmas yet?? It's the 12th, no?๐
Oh achha name changing case ๐..and yeah he seems to do random cameos in lame movies. These actors dont try to pick up on their fan following, there are a very few who actually respect their fan base and take decisions. Hi character in the promos is really creeping me out, to be Shahrukh i the k..kk...kiran character is one thing, but he's coming no where close to that. Dude, I don't even know why people are so fixated on this idea of the abused anti-hero, esp. on TV when it just looks gimmicky. Why can't men just be nice and normal? Who wants to aspire to marry a psycho, even if he is rich and goodlooking? Incidentally 'Darr' was my first movie, I saw it in the theatre when I was a month old ๐ Christ, that makes me feel old ๐๐ Can't believe your first movie was a horror/thriller ๐
And yeah I agree with you, the month associated with a major festival puts me in a nice jolly mode. Even I equate the entire october to diwali. There's just this nice, happy wali feeling about it.Btw, you really seem to have taken a liking to Don2? ๐ Yeah, am excited for a film for a change. Say what you will about SRK (and I've said plenty - I still feel like he's becoming increasingly desperate and gimmicky offscreen), but he does still have the ability to utterly charm me - the Don 2 promos are looking cool. He's the best when he focuses on his work as opposed to the gimmicks - just look at the sigs I have: he looks normal - no weird hairstyles or costumes, just classic SRK. The avi where he breaks into a smile/smirk just makes me squee like a true fangirl ๐I haven't looked forward to any film this year - still haven't seen most of the major ones, but I am looking forward to seeing Don 2.
Yeah, I too would place money on the "she makes him good again" scenario but to be honest its hard for a guy to bounce back from abusive, sword-wielder to devoted husband. Exactly how and why is he going to do that? And is that really a message people want to send - that men who tie up their wives and stab them with swords are actually just poor little lost boys at heart, and are really craving for the love of a good woman?! Yeah right.

Apparently, that's the general message that desi soaps send - save your marriage no matter what. Conveniently enough, it's always the female character's responsibility keep relationships intact. The concept of a traditional wife making grand sacrifices to bring her psychotic/abusive/unappreciative husband on the 'right track' is ridiculously offensive. However, it sells big time. So I have absolutely no doubts that this new couple (if you can call them that) will be shipped by dozens of starry-eyed fangirls who'll attribute MB's sword-wielding to his hidden passion for the heroine. It's like that kindergarten analogy: the boy pulls the girl's ponytail because he secretly likes her. LOL! As much as I liked MB in KZK, no way am I watching this crap. How have you been, by the way? And yes it's Christmas time, lol. *does a happy dance*Hey Abhi! How's it going? :-)
