Vasu, I love your sig too! Is it from the new Sarah Michelle Gellar show or is it an old Buffy sig?

@Zainu: Yeah it is a very sweet moment in today's epi...that's what's nice about KG in general...they don't go OTT with their scenes.

Zainu: Your sig box looks amazing now! Fatty's stuff is gorgeous as always! 😍 Is that a Malaal sig? I need to watch that show too sometime...But the sig's really pretty. I like that one cap of the walk/stop sign. I wonder if she put that intentionally. But it's so cool...especially since BOTH the walk and the stop symbols are on display at the same time...kind of showing the whole conflicted state.

But awww YAYY your mood is better and I got you to come here and post? *feels extra cool and special* 😎

Vasu/Zainu: Agree with you guys about MB...don't know what else to add since I haven't seen this week's episodes yet.

Anu: Yep, even though I've only seen a few scenes of Gulaal so far, I can already tell that this show is really good show overall. It's def. a better show than MB on the whole too. Mostly because like you said, EACH scene has a purpose to it...so you get the sense that the writers have a good hand on their story and everything is planned. I love that! When you can sense that planning from the writers. It's just so convincing for the audience.

And of course the acting is amazing!!! No hit and miss here! I think it's after LTL only that I am seeing this kind of amazingly convincing acting!! Well, I do love Ram and Sakshi's acting too of course...but unfortunately their characters don't always get the depth they deserve so overall you don't always get that kind of an impact.

Also, another thing that is intriguing me about this show is Dushyant's character. I think Sushant Singh is an awesome actor too and I am curious about how he turned so good now after all his lusty/evil ways in the past. Though I guess I will have to watch the earlier episodes to see that progression.

Oh and Mash yaar you didn't read my post properly. I mentioned that I DIDN'T find this show regressive. I said that, I THOUGHT it might be regressive and all before I started watching. But if anything, it is actually PROGRESSIVE with the way it opens your mind and makes you think about so many aspects at once. Not just on a story/character level but also on a broader society/cultural level. There is SO much scope for thought here, which I do realize and appreciate.

The show is actually progressive in the way that they are showing strong women..not abla naari's like you said. Even this deeyarvattu situation was progressive more than regressive. Regressive would've been if Gulaal HAD married Dushyant. Or if she had just sat there weeping at her situation for years. But she took a stand. And the whole deeyarvattu situation I find was such an eye opening and innovative way to solve this problem. No one would've thought Gulaal would do this.

But yes, I am finding the show very refreshing...mostly I like how the cultural/rural setting is kept true to it's essence. You know what I mean? I get this authentic feel. The music and everything. It's so soul touchingly beautiful.

Ok off to watch as many more scenes as I can before dinner.

LOL Eiffel Tower posts? I can't help it yaar. I've been doing nothing for the past two days...just lying around lazily or watching TV and stuff. I need to engage my mind in some way. And keep myself distracted from the pain. Besides I am limiting my shoulder use by resting my hands on an arm rest so it's just my wrists/fingers that get the strain na?

Anyways chalo atleast isi bahane you finally TALKED to me!! *faints in joy* Warna I never get a reply to any post I address to you. *sulky muh* Toh the Eiffel Tower posts did the trick! 😎

Word, Pallo...you've said it beautifully👏👏...and yeah Dushyant's character is indeed interesting to me as well cuz I too love Sushant Singh as an actor...and the evolution that they've shown with Dushy's character is remarkable too...if you watch all the epis, you'll realize that more.

@Zainu: Yeah I think Fivr aaj nahin aane waali...kal hi wish kar lena then...I'm also going to wish her U.S. time only😆
