Yeah I'm usually watching Gulaal and BALH a day late...Gulaal is what takes up most of my time and energy😆...You gave up watching after that point? Arey the story moved quite ahead...but oh well😆...

What's happening in Gulaal?

I have to do Nimmi ki kasar puri...she would tease you MERCILESSLY over this😛😆...No but seriously, aren't you loving his (lack of) expressions?😛😆

In Gulaal...ahh too much is happening...lol...well from the point you watched it...a few days passed in tension and back and forth angst...hard to explain...the scenes have to be watched...then Talli makes Kesar realize that Gulaal can't be forced to accept this relationship in anyway...after that there is an awesome KG confrontation...the one from my avi😆...where he tells her that she is being unfair to the woman inside by refusing to let her laugh or live...and that Vasant would never have wanted to live the rest of her life in self-imposed isolation either...next morning, he offers to break the deeyarvattu in the panchayat and this shocks everyone...Gulaal also agrees that it should be broken but the panchayat has given them a 3 month trial period to be sure of this decision since they've shown a tendency in the past of changing their minds😆...so basically Gulaal has now mellowed towards Kesar and is feeling all grateful cuz he's "freed" her...and she figures all this will finish in 3 months anyways so she's not being mean to him anymore...Since then Kesar has been trying to bring happiness in her life through small small things like reminding her of her childhood memories, bringing her friends to see her...and now Talli has decided to move on and get married too so they are looking for a suitor for her.

Interesting! I wonder what/who will change Gulaal's outlook by the time this three month period ends. So did Kesar really want to end the deeyarvattu for Gulaal's sake or was that an impulsive decision on his part?

You know, I wish they would dress Gulaal in a less amma jee type of way. She's looking atleast 10 - 15 years older than Kesar/Neil. That makes the whole thing a bit awkward to watch on screen.

Oooh, lots of new movies' promos are out. I pray that at least one of those movies will be good. It hurts me to see the current state of Bollywood. Meri aankhein taras gayi hain koi achi movie dekhne ke liye. *sigh*

Kesar really wanted to end the deeyarvattu cuz he could see the futility of imposing this on Gulaal...she would never budge and Talli made him realize that you can't force this relationship on someone...he took this step after thinking it through...basically for Gulaal's happiness...

LOL Gulaal belongs to a rural village...it is expected that the bahu of the house would wear a ghoonghat...ergo that's her look in the show...it's not going to change...but anyways, they do show her without the ghoonghat sometimes too...

You think she looks 10-15 years older than him? 😆...Well the character is supposed to be around 7-9 years older than Kesar so that fact will remain...personally to me, actually they don't look that far apart in age...Manasi has a petite frame so that makes her look young too...anyways, age is not really a genuine factor in their relationship...but if it's awkward for you to watch, I can understand your aversion to the show😆

So he thought it through after listening to Talli. Chalo, let's see how it goes. I want to see the tables turned - she should want him back in the future, I don't care how. I like angsty stuff of this kind, lol.

Edited to add: By "she" I meant Gulaal, not Talli.

I dunno, the ghoonghat is fine but there's something that makes her look more than seven years older to him. Not that age is really a factor but because they showed him as a 12 year old at one point, the physical difference is a little creepy. That's why I prefer to read about this show rather than watch it.

I don't think face-wise she looks more aged than him...in real life, there is only a 3 year age difference b/w Manasi-Neil and it's not like they've added grey hairs to Gulaal's hair...so I'm not sure I understand why you are seeing a 15 year age difference b/w them for some reason other than the ghoonghat😕😕

LOL...this show REALLY is not for you, Sarah...really isn't😆...yeah it's best you don't watch it...if you don't follow it closely enough, you'll never be able to understand the nuances of these relationships.
