hi thanx 4 the princess article

so i wud like to share abt princess subhadra (mainly coz prc ki tarah yaha bhi , bhagaofying the bride😆)

Princess Subhadra

Subhadra is the daughter of Vasudeva and his second wife Rohini Devi. She is much younger to Krishna and Balarama since she was born after Vasudeva was released from Kansa's prison.
She is the half-sister of Krishna.

Arjuna has heard of Subhadra and he wishes to take her as his wife. At that time he is in the guise of a wandering ascetic performing pilgrimage since his breach of Vyasa's marital laws. He seeks the help of Krishna in this. Krishna agrees to help him.

He establishes the 'sage' Arjuna's residence near Subhadra's palace. Subhadra serves him and after sometime Arjuna discloses his identity to her. She immediately falls for him since she has heard a lot about him and knowing that her love is requited pleads with Krishna to sanction their love. Krishna agrees and instructs Arjuna to carry Subhadra away and marry her as it will be difficult to persuade Balarama to change his mind.

When Subhadra is returning from the temple Arjuna kidnaps her and drives her away. But Krishna's advice to them was that Subhadra should drive the chariot to make it look like Subhadra kidnapped Arjuna! So Subhadra takes the reins of the chariot into her hands and drives away. When Balarama is alerted by the Vrishni guards he is full of wrath for Arjuna. Krishna pacifies him and tells him that Subhadra and Arjuna really loved each other and it was Subhadra who had been driving the chariot. Balarama's anger cools and he agrees to celebrate the couple's marriage at Indraprastha

i have read abt damyanti b4 .i came across this story wen i was watching jhansi ki rani. there was a track were this story . wen they mentioned i just remembered "nala and something" .the track was wen this play was gonna be enacted then the royal dancer who loves gangadhar was gonna play the lead than wen in play they get married on stage , she was gonna commit suicide in front of everyone and declare her love , so she planned.

but acc to this story multiple "nala"'s were gonna be there. so wat was decided in JKR. that they r gonna use mirror.

but manu "laxmibai". knows the plan so she dresses herself as princess damayanti. but itna drama kafi nahi tha on the top of that a archer is hired to kill gangadhar wen princess will put garland around his neck. but manu is smart she purposely moves puts garland to wrong image though she knows who real gangadhar is coz he was hurt and he was bleeding , and arrow is released n mirror is cracked and everyone is alerted.

jyada hi elaborate kiya.

but bottom line watching this track , i googled "nala " and came across this story.

but now i just posting the wiki part

Princess Damayanti

Damayanti was a princess of Vidarbha Kingdom. She was of such beauty and grace that even the gods could not stop from admiring her. She fell in love with Nala simply from hearing of his virtues and accomplishments from a golden swan. When it came time for Damayanti to choose her husband at a swayamvara, gods, princes and kings came to seek her hand.

The Gods Indra, Agni, Varuna and Yama were on their way for attendance when they meet Nala. They order him to be their messenger and to go inform Damayanti that she must choose one of them as husband. Nala first refuses, saying he is himself interested in her, but he finally accepts the mission. On seeing him, Damayanti agrees to pay her respects to the gods, but she insists on choosing only Nala for her husband. The Gods then each disguise themselves as Nala, and ask Damayanti to choose amongst them. Damayanti sees through them each time, as she is aware that her true beloved one is a human being and cannot be perfect, which sets him apart from the gods. The demon Kali, the personification of Kali yuga, also wants to marry Damayanti.

On his arrival, he is unaware that he is too late for the swayamvara. He runs into the gods and they tell him how she has chosen Nala in their place. Kali then angrily vows to cause the fall of Nala's kingdom through his propensity for gambling.

Nala-Damayanti. Painting by Raja Ravi Varma.

Damayanti and Nala are happily married and have two children. Kali enters the palace as a servant, and for twelve long years keeps watch for any little imperfection by which he can strike against Nala. One day, Nala, in a rush to make his prayer defiles himself by not washing his feet, thereby allowing Kali to bewitch his soul. In games of dice with his brother Pushkara, he loses his kingdom, forcing Nala and Damayanti to live in poverty in the forest. Birds fly away with the only garment Nala possessed.

After all these misadventure, Nala starts worrying for Damayanti and, obscured by Kali, resolves to abandon her in order to protect her from his bad luck. Damayanti finds herself alone in the forest and invokes a curse on those who have caused the downfall of her husband. Nala, meanwhile, rescues the Snake King Naga Karkotaka from a fire. As a result, Naga Karkotaka bites him in rewards. As Nala seeks an explanation, Naga Karkotaka says that the poison will only take effect when it is perfect. Nala survives the bite, but the venom turns him into an unrecognizable dwarf named Bahuka, who serves as a charioteer to the Ayodhya King Rituparna.

Damayanti takes refuge in the palace of the Princess of Chedi, offering to serve her, only not as a servant; to which the Princess of Chedi replies that she can be her host. Damayanti is finally discovered and taken back to her father's house where she is reunited with her children. They search for Nala, but cannot find him. Damayanti starts thinking that the only way Nala will come back would be for fear that she would not be his wife anymore. Thus she requests a fake second swayamvara. She is still of such irresistible beauty that many kings attend. Nala's master also wants to go to the swayamvara, and Nala accompanies him. On their journey to the swayamvara, the king instructs the dwarf in the techniques of gambling. When King Rituparna reveals to him the supreme skill of controlling the dice, finally the poison take effect and Bahuka vomits Kali from his body and imprisons him temporarily in a tree. Damayanti is persuaded that the dwarf is Nala because of the flavor of a dish that he cooked for her. The pair are reunited and Nala is transformed from a dwarf into his familiar form. He uses the knowledge of gambling he has learned to regain everything he had lost.

She forgives him for having abandoned her in the forest, and he forgives her for having organised another swayamvara.

They live happily ever after.

hi guys i wud like to share something abt fort daulatabad

guess many might b already knowing abt it

i been their wen i was in ninth as our school camp was at aurangabad

. but yesterday i saw the show on travel trendz showing the defensive mechanism of dat fort

it was just awesome kya engineering thi

kya dimaag n skills lagaya tha wen constructing this fort.

i just give brief wat i saw on the show

they made a secret path not to out of the fort but to cum inside

enemy will think secret path mili , nacho dhinka chika .

but they don't know , it is to fool them ,wen they enter
then the enemy cum across :"bhul bhulaiya /labyrinth/ mazes" wid deadly traps like hot oil . arrows , snakes crocodile

they purposely made small window like thing in the maze to look as as a small passage but wen we get in it is like tunnel which will make u fall into river with crocodile.

there is a dark room wen we go in there is rectangular space were sunlight is falling and so naturally enemy wil stand below sunlight ,than will think for few seconds as to go to which direction. but from above hot oil will b poured

here's brief from a site (don't need 2 read it ,its just intro. go to link given below see it wid pics)

Once known as 'Devgiri', this magnificent 12th century fortress stands on a hill just 13 kms from Aurangabad. It was given the name Daulatabad, the 'city of fortune', by Muhammad Tughlaq, Sultan of Delhi. Initially a Yadav stronghold, it passed through the hands of several dynasties in the Deccan. One of the world's best preserved fort of medieval times, surviving virtually unaltered, Daulatabad yet displays the character that made it invincible
The strategic defences of this fort are so strong, that historians are puzzled at 'What was it that they tried to protect here?'. Arguably amongst the best constructed forts all over the world,
this fort never in its lifetime witnessed a battle. Only once was the power transferred on this fort, and that too was by treachery!
It has 7 lines of defence all the way up to the Baradari (palatial building on the top) and each line is constructed in such a way, that even if that line is captured, it is impossible to use it to attack the fort by directing the fire inwards.
A series of secret, quizzical, subterranean passages lie coiled like a python amidst the fort. Here flaring torches were thrust upon an unwary enemy. Or hot oil poured down his path, as he deliberated in the labyrinth. Also the heat from a brazier was blown into the passage by a process of suction suffocating the entire garrison within. The Fort itself lies in the body of an isolated hill; the steep hill - sides at the base falling so sharply to the moat that no hostile troops could scale the height
The moat, 40 ft. deep and carved into solid rock with mechanical drawbridges teemed with crocodiles. A 5-kilometer sturdy wall, artificial scarping and a complicated series of defenses made Daulatabad impregnable

The 30-meter high Chand Minar (Tower) built much later with 3 circular galleries had a defensive and religious role in the fortress
