btw SEASONS mean there are 13 to 24 episodes in one season and not 500 episodes!😳

Yes, but they will only ever do it to express their REAL LOWE and not for any other reasons...😃...

When an Indian TV pregnancy can last 14 months, then a season can also last 500+ episodes!

Sahi Jawaab Vasu - I remember seeing some serial where the lady actually pregnant for over a year ... I don't recall which one ... but it was so hilarious to watch the lady constantly in a pregnant state.

@LadyM: LOL I didn't make a post for yesterday's epi...I was too damn exhausted...and not motivated enough by the epi to brave through my exhaustion either...lol

@Amy: Yes the cliches aren't like SO shows but I lose interest very quickly in the endless bedroom musical chairs in American shows...ppl act quite shallow...Gossip Girl type of lameness.

And all these crime solving shows also just look carbon copies of each other after a point...I'm unable to REALLY connect with the characters long term.

Yeah true that Anu! those shallow bedroom musical chairs (as you call it) are pretty lame. Gossip Girl is one heck of a lame and pointless show! neither actors look like high school students anyhow!

@Crime shows--- 🥱 only CSI, NCIS, Criminal minds (less for characterization and more for the cases), and Bones is what i like to watch. All others are just meh.

I also watch that one BBC one show called Merlin😆. I know i'm weird. lol i watch it for Arthur-Merlin scenes😆

Amy, the problem is how QUICKLY ppl move from relationship to relationship...their credibility as characters is shot then IMO...Gossip Girl toh ofcourse is the most convoluted of them all but even many other prime times shows have similar situations...some random couple starts dating in one season...next season, it's someone else...third season, first person comes back...then drama b/w exes...then again break up...third person shows up...and so and so forth...I personally can't deal with this kind of shallowness or connect with it.

Very few shows bother with slow, steady character development...they have an episodic format and a finite number of epis per season but even they don't seem to manage to many times develop stories properly...

Bones is the only show that makes me hang on somehow...the character development has largely been steady that's why.

I looked up Terra Nova... I liked it.

Has anyone checked out the wedding bells topic in Global announcements? I have been on IF for so long now, yet sometimes I fall for these posts.. Thinking they might be genuine and real... when they are interesting and different. 😵😵😵

Who started this trend in the first place?? Linking normal members with celebrities and coming up with a love story.

Hi Mru!! :-)

Bones is the only show that has shown the gradual development and HOW! that's why that show stands out from most prime time shows.

Regarding most CW shows such as GG and abc fam shows--- well those cater a different age of audience and just like disney shows, they tend to over exaggerate every bit and tend to stress more on glamor and drama rather than character developments. Such shows are to be watched when other good shows are on hiatus. If i watch those shows, i watch them during summer break or other breaks on internet. I don't waste time watching it on tv either and lol i tend to fast forward certain boring parts and episodes as well.

I prefer watching sci-fi shows over those teeny bopper high school/ college drama any day. That's why i'm looking forward to Spielberg's two shows--Falling skies and Terra nova. there's also a third show from him coming this fall on ABC i think--- it's called "The River"

@GG---- Ummm What?! 😆 linking members with celebs and writing a fic on that? How lame can it get?!
I only to come this CC and anu's posts in Navya forum. never taken a peek at those "global announcements" anyhow.😆

@GG: LOL no I haven't seen that announcement...I don't venture into that part of IF much...haha

@Amy: Yeah sci-fi shows are something I generally do get intrigued to watch too...I started watching Lost and Heroes when they started but then got sick of the dumb twists in those too...lol...within two seasons only everyone manages to sleep with EVERYONE...amazing feat, really😳😆

Anyways, Terra Nova does sound good...that creepy sergeant from Avatar is in it too I think as the main villain again...lol...I'll deffo watch the first few epis to see how it goes...

Heck I even watched V when it started😆...gave up later.

When is this "Falling Skies" show starting? Can you lemme know? I think I might check that out too.

@Amy: I'm looking up these shows, and I really like them. I love science fiction, so hope it turns out to be decent.. I am not too keen on Falling Skies, but I'm going to watch it for Noah Wyle.
