Shreya - I agree. Anant needed a push... not so sure about Navya though. She was already impressed with Anant for rescuing her and then being an overall nice guy. Navya didn't need any push per se but I guess they cant' tease Anant in isolation on this topic since Navya's connected to it too😆

Replying to Nimrah's post which got lost in the melee that was the final pages of the last CC , he STILL owns the stupid team :-/ Pata hai is baar they had started performing really well ? They lost the first match but really closely and they won the next three on a trot I think...and they played really well to win those matches , it wasn't just a fluke or something...but now they've relapsed into the KK-HAAR or yore :-/

Exactly, exactly ! the SOLE reason I support this team is SRK and the amount of money/time/effort he pumps into it...money primarily :P Aur kuch nahi, toh gadho ko uske aur Juhi Chawla ke liye jeetna chahiye kam se kam...this is the one team which has NEVER performed well .

If he wasn't a team owner...ab tak I'd have been among the happy people whose teams aren't losers...mera funda ab se clear hai : Dhoni jahaan, main wahaan :) Chennai Superrr Kings ka whistle podu :D

Have you guys seen that vid btw ? CSK's whistle podu ?

Why do our celebrities endorse everything under the sun? I was in India during the last stages of the World cup and Dhoni was endorsing everything from undergarments to colas ...

But But But.. all paled in comparison to be in India to see India win the world cup in Mumbai ...

Not just our celebrities..there are a few in this select category - Dhoni, SRK and earlier , Amitabh Bachchan...I was reading this report which said that consumers in India actually associate them even with those products which they don't endorse...the marketing people call it ambassador overkill or something.

Yea.. for a change, I could time my India visit well .. hehehe .. watched cricket after a longg time.. I had left watching cricket a long time ago.. late 90s to be exact.. after seeing us lose match after match.. I was tired of seeing Sachin play well just to see others squander away everything ...

But this world cup, I was happy to see a team effort rather than one man in shining armour .. though wished Sachin had made the ton at Wankhede.. but heck .. loved the innings of Gambhir-Kohli-Dhoni-Yuvraj..

@Bold : hehehe.. apt for them.. it loses impact for sure... at least hollywood a listers dont endorese stuff for the american market, though they do a lot of endorsing random stuff for the international audience..

Nice vid...what does podu mean? does it have anything to do with the chicken??

Podu ka toh pata nahi but I know whistle podu means 'Blow a whistle'...or simply , whistle in the verb sense ... so it might be some verb thingy in Tamil...Any here who can help out ? :S

And then there's that PHAMOUS Appadi Podu song...the baraati favourite in India :P Appadi Podu means keep it that way or put it that way or something ...I'll find out :))

I don't know if any of you watch Harry Potter. I have read every single book and seen every single movie ...it's like one of those "growing up watching/reading" stuff kinda thing😆. Anyhow, here's the teaser for the FINAL part that comes out next summer. (So can't wait for that!)

I shall miss all the excitment that we (my friends, I and the whole entire world to some point) that comes with the release of the movie. I already miss the excitement with the release of books...hehehehe i have finished the books in less than 3 days time.😆

Twilight can NEVER ever match up to the phenomenon that JK Rowling and Harry Potter created. in one of my AP Lit class, we were analyzing how Voldy seemed to reflect Hitler's characteristics--- the whole issue with pure blood versus muggles was reflective of Aryans versus Jews.
I know I'm weird...but I like to analyze stuff...ALL because of my AP Lit teacher! She's made us all such analyzers! lol😆

LOL Amy...you haven't noticed the zillion and one HP references that Shreya makes all the time? And you're still asking if any of us are interested in HP?? rofl

Please do not take the name of the vampy Twiliight crapfest in the same breath as HP :P...

I've grown up reading the books too in a sense...well if high school counts so I very well identify with the attachment to HP...nothing can touch that.

Thanks for the link...I'll check out the trailer when I get home...I loveddd part one...I think it just might be the best made out of all the HP movies so far.
