this is what I wrote in one of GA boards for last week's ele scene

EP just freaking end up stealing the whole show with that scene. And while EP obviously nailed this one I thought PD was phenomenal too. The way he was looking at Mer, there was a moment when he was almost about to break down feeling her anguish, and seeing her break and fall apart this ways made him feel defeated, defeat was written all over in his eyes, up till now he had been so hopeful so optimistic and he was trying his freaking best not to let the pressure get to Mer, he was making this whole thing fun and adventurous and full of love and romance-referring to their elevator scene from 7.15 where he so adorably gives her a shot in the elevator. He had just been there for her in every step of this journey and had tried his freaking best to not let all this get to her, but in this moment seeing her shatter into pieces, life and its cruel reality is hitting him again and he is yet again realizing how little control we really have on our own freaking lives, we may want so damned many things but its really upto the universe to give them to us or no and we can't do any damned thing about it, just nothing, except maybe to try just try to hold it together, keep hoping, keep trying and keep looking for newer options, opportunities to fulfill our dreams. And thats what he did I guess, he tried to hold it together for her sake.

It was just beautiful BEAUTIFUL and I am still kind of shocked that we ACTUALLY got such good MD in this epi.I didn't like the epi at all but I have to say EVERY and i mean it EVERY MD scene in it was so BEAUTIFUL even the one where they are talking to Mark and Az was just beautiful, the way Mer stepped in with authority when Derek was unable to tell Mark whats the true picture, wow it was so poignant showed how perfect a team they are be it at work or at home. And this elevator scene, it could easily be one of the best GA speeches EVER, Shonda really wrote that scene damn well. In fact to be very honest in the whole epi I thought MD scenes were the only ones which were well written, the rest was kind of OTT
