^^ Shahid Afridi?

oh yea, i read something like that, but din pay much attention to it cos i like Afridi, been seeing him for so long now that i'v developed a liking for the great player he is on the field.
Off the field, forget! Pakistan is a nation bound to be mad at Afridi for losing the cup. the tension got to him and said what he did!

Did you see what Kumara Sangakkara(SL captain) said after the match? wow, what a brilliant speaker and a great sport he is!

He said "humare jaise saaf sutr dil ek Indian ke kabhi nahi ho sakte hai" and he claimed that the whole of India and all the Indian players were hostile towards them. and that our media is extremely negative.

Sorry but no matter how good of a player someone is.. if they can't learn to respect another country, especially my India, they will never have my respect.

Sportsmanship is a big part of playing any sport, and if you don't have that.. no matter how good of a player you are, you will not be fit to play the sport until you learn that art.

now after all this, I'm having major doubts in my head that what Sangakara said was a bunch of BS as well. I mean duhh any person would show sportsmanship if you were the losing country and you were standing among a whole stadium of Indians on Indian soil.

^^true, that.

what he said was not in good spirit :(. should not have, clearly. he's such a great player and has put in everything he's got for the pakistani team, he should have been more careful with what he said. but u never know how the indian media actually behaved with him. he may have been saying the truth, cos the indian media IS very very brutal. They virtually kill the indian players when we come back losing from any match. Our media is very hypocritical in its ways. They praise the team when we win immensely and if lose, then toh, goneeeee. i'v seen it happening when we lost all the prior world cups or any game we'v played.
and i don know nooo, but i liked how Sangakarra spoke, he was convincing enough to sound truthful to himself and everyone present there..😆

Yeah Indian media might be hypocritical. But which media isn't? There was a video few days back of the Pak media saying now the score is 5-0 of India beating Pak in WC matches, how could you let that happen and all that. Any media is that way, it's not only Indian media.

byeee! good night :)

^^yea duhhh he would look irritated if he lost the world's most crucial cup! u think the indian team wouldnt have reacted the same way?!
Am just talking about the way he spoke with Ravi Shastri, during the presentation ceremony--he lauded all the indian players and our country with conviction, and thats what i liked..=)

but wouldn't any person have the common sense of doing that when they are on the home soil of the other team and they are the winners? Of course he wouldn't have been like the Indian team are a bunch of horrible players.. it's common sense to laud people in such situations. I don't feel any of that came from the bottom of his heart or anything, it sounded like a bunch of BS he had to say. Even Afridi praised the Indian players a little after the SFs, that doesn't mean he believed it to be true. It's just diplomacy and playing it safe to do that.
