Shilpa Sharma looked at the girl in the bridal wear. She had never been more excited in her life. The girl whom she had grown to love like her own daughter was now to be her daughter for life. She played a very important role in her life. In getting her son to accept her estranged husband. Something that she had thought was impossible. Well there have been a lot of things about the girl that made her really proud of her son's choice. she had brought her son out of a cocoon, given him the wings to follow his dreams yet kept him grounded. This is ofcourse besides the fact that she had single handedly managed huge financial and family problems and overcome them. She had now started managing Sharma industries as well. Something that Mayank had refused to do.
She looked at her son, she understood and respected his choice of opting for a hi-flying investment firm over Sharma industries, he had once set aside his dreams for the girl he loved, now it was his turn to pursue his dreams, which is why both the women in his life had given unstinted support to him. she was incredibly proud of her son for loving Nupur with an unmistakable passion. He had stood by her through thick and thin, something her own husband had not done. All his heart burn and the wait has been well worth it for there could never be a girl more suitable for him.
They were simply made for each other she smiled. She looked forward to the days she would spend with them. The marriage ceremony was elaborate as requested by the elders in the Bhushan family. They sat patiently as the 'mantras' were read out and they were tied together in a relationship that was meant to be for not just this life but for seven lives. They were exhausted by the end of the day. Unlike their entire love story, the marriage day itself was rather uneventful, since Mayank was now considered an 'eligible' groom by the Morena gang ..they were more than willing to be part of the wedding festivities.
Nupur looked at Mayank, even though it was very late in the day, he was smiling, she couldn't help smiling as well. Ah, its not often that dreams come true and its not very often than 2 dreams come true on the same day. She thought of the first time she met Mayank, not a clue she thought, not once did she think then that this was the guy who would be a part of her destiny. They had gone through a lot, together thats what mattered. She could see her mother smiling happily, she dint look hassled like she normally would when there was a lot of things to look into and this was her daughter's wedding. She couldn't contain the feeling of satisfaction she felt on realising how Mayank was the reason for her mother's smile. He had completely taken the responsibilities off her hands and acted like her son more than her future son-in-law. She was very proud of her Mr Right. ha ha, her Raj she thought, oh no her Mayank, Raj needs to take a few lessons from Mayank Sharma. She glowed as she thought of her life ahead with the perfectionist himself. Master of surprises. Stubborn as a mule. Romantic and funny, temperamental and prone to bursts of anger- Mayank Sharma, her Best Friend.
Mayank caught her gazing at him, the love shining n her eyes as she looked at him. He realised he had got her after a long struggle, her stubborn will to hide her love, her relatives and that crazy man who nearly turned their lives upside down. However, he was thankful for one thing, during it all she was there by his side, they have never really been apart since the day they met. Some friendships are more important than anything else that life offers including love. He was glad he stood by his friend and she had stood by him. Love just happened, for they were always friends first. He smiled at her, she smiled back.
As he entered their room, he looked around for her, she was nowhere to be seen, he had kind of expected her to be sitting with her ghoogat down in filmy style. She was not to be seen though, suddenly she burst open through the door, she looked like she had come running. He looked at her curiously, while she grinned at him.
N - sorry , woh mujhe yaad aaya ki kal ke reception ke preparations ke liye meine hall ka advance nahi diya tha,,,phir patha chala ki tumne kardiya hai
He smiled again, trust Nupur to worry about such things even now.
M - haan mein batana bhool gaya..
As she closed the door behind her and turned around, they looked at each other for a short while.
M - tho..
N - tho kya *she asked mischeviously*
M - tho kuch nahi, so jao.. tum bohot taki lag rahi ho
N - hmmm tumbhi
Then they burst out laughing.
N - Waise mera sone ka mood nahi hai
M - tho phir kiska mood hai 😆
She rolled her eyes at him
N - baat karneka
M - baat karnekeliye poori zindagi padi hai, kal subah subah utna bhi hai
N - acha patidev jaise aap teek samjhe *sticking her tongue out*
M - 😆 acha bolo kya bolna hai, sone tho dogi nahi
and they continued their never ending conversations, the kind that sustained them all along..the kind that makes u fall in love with them.. That they had a great marriage and close moments and their share of fights is not important, for this story continues till the end..only, this story doesnt end..for they have the rest of their lives to look forward to..and their undying friendship that never vanished, because they were best friends for life :)
