LOL I'm always curious about a SLB movie regardless of whether it turns out to be good or not.....that larger than life cinematic feel he brings to his movies is something I do admire regardless of what might otherwise be plotholes or melodrama shown in his movies.

Hrithik is a paraplegic in this movie.

Woah! That DOES look interesting ... Hrithik Roshan, the magician, is chained to a wheelchair after an accident ... Ash looks like his caregiver ... btw, I do believe that they have an awesome chemistry together. Much better than Ash could ever have with Abhishek or anyone else. Not particularly an Ash fan ... but like HR 😛

LOL LadyM....like DUH Ash has far better chemistry with HR than Abhishek....that's like a GIVEN, imo....I think Abhi looks best with Rani.

I think the promo has been very well put together....my fav. bit is the opening shot with Hrithik trying to flick the fly away from his nose and then ultimately just giving up and smiling.

I also think this movie looks very interesting....my interest is piqued for sure....looking forward to it....here's the plotline I just saw someone posted in the bolly forum:
The verdant green landscape, the magnetic blue waters and the warm bright sunshine of beautiful Goa is home to one of the greatest magicians of his time, Ethan Mascarenhas. Presently hosting a Radio Show that spreads magic and hope and laughter through his irrepressible wit and humor to every listener and caller, it is difficult to imagine that this is a man who has been immobilized with a spinal injury for the last fourteen years of his life.

Ethan is aided through every moment of his present life by the epicenter of his world - his Nurse, Sofia D'Souza. Theirs is a love beautiful in its implicit silence, unwavering in its quiet strength and spirited in their constant verbal sparring.

On the fourteenth anniversary of his accident, Ethan decides to seek control over his own life. He makes a petition to the Court that shocks the world and leaves Sofia in an impasse that challenges their relationship and their love. Alongside all the tumult that follows, a young man named Omar Siddiqui bursts into Ethan's
world with a single-minded desire to learn magic from the very best. While on one hand Ethan passes on his magical legacy, on the other, he fights tooth-and-nail to demand the most basic right that every human being is entitled to – the right to his own life. The ethics, the morality, the kindness and cruelty of
this mission creates a storm in all the lives that it envelops and its resolution forms
the startling conclusion of Ethan's remarkable journey.
Hmm, plot toh acha lag raha hai (at least on paper). Hopefully the screenplay will be good! I think Hrithik and Ash have really good chem. It was wasted in Jodha-Akbar and Dhoom 2 though. *shakes head*

Is it coming out this year?

100 % agree on Abhi and Rani's chemistry being better than Abhi-Ash! For that matter I liked HR with Kareena too in an exceedingly stupid movie called Yaadein as well as KKKG ... I think HR can generally strike up a good chemistry with his actresses.

Anyhoo, the plot looks interesting dude! SLB movies have this grandiose and opulence that somehow make me want to watch them at least once. Even Devdas ... I watched it just once for SRK, Madhuri and SLB, although I HATED the story. Actually I liked his Khamoshi in bits. Nana and Seema were good ... Manisha and Salman kinda made it lukewarm for me.

Edit: Sarah - Believe it or not, but I actually liked them the most in Dhoom 2 and Jodha-Akbar... infact in Dhoom 2, I think HR-Ash completely took the cake. Abhi will probably never repeat the mistake of being in the same movie with HR.

Yep it's coming out around end of this year I think.....

How was the Hrithik-Ash chemistry wasted in JA??😕....I thought they were amaaaaaaazing together in that movie....I loved their chemistry there.....subtle, sweet and classy. And well they had chemistry in Dhoom2 as well I guess but I couldn't stand Ash's character in that movie so I'm allergic to it anyways.....lol

I LOVE Khamoshi.....it's one of my all time fav. movies and SLB's best work IMO...I thought Manisha-Salman were ADORABLE in that movie...i loooooooove each and every song from tht movie....especially Jaana sun hum, Yeh dil sun raha hai (the picturization of that one is SO emotional) and Baahon ke darmiyaan and aaj main upar...I love allll of them.....Devdas was very high on melodrama but it's still an interesting watch.....And I was saying the same thing....he makes these larger than life movies that do make you want to watch them once....cuz what is cinema if not larger than life?? Even Black was OTT in bits but still a good movie I thought.

Hmmm I'm not a fan of Hrithik-Kareena together.....I was too scarred by the crapfest known as Main Prem Ki deewani hoon......but yeah Hrithik is good at creating chemistry with his co-actors....as of now, I like his pairing with Ash the best.

@ bold - For some reason I didn't like JA at all. Neither did I like D2. That's why I didn't fancy the HR-Ash pairings in those movies. And gosh, I loathed Sunehri of D2! So darn annoying.
