Time to address the pretty girl. What was her name? Pretty girl?


But that's obvious, says the pretty girl. Who are you and what would you do?

Oh golly, we'd better make sure she doesn't fire then.


Yeah definitely more effective than loose talk.


What in heavens name is a breezing heart?


We had to hide that part of the subtitle or Sivaji would get an infraction from the mod team...

Meanwhile the bad guy strikes. Sivaji boomerangs a gun at him, the gun rolls out, fires between the baddies eyes and returns back to our hero's hands. Beat that you Australian aborigines!

Somebody fires a bullet at our hero. He's more thunderous than a bullet. he won't stop it.


He takes out a glass of a blue non-alcoholic drink and coaxes the bullet in. KHOOL!



But Sivaji's automatic spanish guitar is stolen. He cannot shoot the bad guys!
Worry not, the guitar case is a missile launcher!


He fires at a car, causing it to blow up and topple over all the baddies. The day is saved!

Earlier in the movie, our Hero turns into a King and his fair lady is a Queen in a dreamy dream sequence.

And as they dance he sings to her. And as he sings to her he realises how nice she smells.


Oh dear. That really doesn't sound very romantic. Maybe smearing is accepted socially in Kingly circles.

Me, I've never smeared myself on anyone.

Well... umm...actually... nevermind.


First of all the moon is round. If it got taller, it would only get broader. Unless you reconfigured the moon in some horrible elliptical manner.

Secondly, not only is our lady arrogant, she has DUAL arrogance?
I demand to know what dual arrogance is!


I guess that's where the term "bumping someone off" originated.

A funny look at Sivaji with Subtitles

You have to watch it.
But what's the point? I won't understand a single word!
I saw it in the theater. Didn't understand a word but loved it. It's the ultimate filmy film.

I thought she was crazy. But she's normally crazy. But the prospect of seeing Rajinikanth in a Tamil movie that I would not understand was not one I was looking forward to.

Until last week. I received a copy of Sivaji - The Boss with English subtitles. What ensued was the most mayhem and fun-filled 3 hours of my life.

What drove me really mad were the songs. They were beyond all comprehension for me and I stared open-mouthed the first time, laughing the second and finally by the 4th time, I was an addict.

I offer you now my point-of-view - stories built around the songs of Sivaji. It is comically disrespectful, irreverant and humorous - a mixture of some badly translated subtitles and hilarious settings around the songs. Those of you that may not see this movie will enjoy it even more. It is not in chronological order.

I mean to offend no one, especially not my brothers and sisters in Chennai who I hope will laugh with me at the story, considering it as entertainment.
