I just read today's SGP update. I don't feel like watching it today. Maybe I'll watch it directly when Sid will get a slap. Suhana and Rano are being deliberately obtuse. And I for one am not interested in watching the saas-bahu drama.

Yeah I don't really feel like watching today's epi much either....I might watch it later....if and when the story starts moving with the slap to Sid....

LadyM, I read Judith McNaught's 'Almost Heaven'. I wasn't wowed by the story either, but I found it good enough. I really liked the leads, Ian and Elizabeth. There conversations were witty and interesting, IMO.

There were certain things which I didn't appreciate though.

1. The repetitive description of Ian's 'sinful and dangerous rugged handsomeness', and Elizabeth's 'angelic and alluring beauty'. They are extremely good-looking people......d'uh we get it already!

2. The unnecessary and broad description of the kisses. They were just kisses, why devote half of page writing about it?

3. Then there are some other these and that stuffs which irritated me.

Barring all these, I liked reading the book. Since I have learned to skip the 'lovemaking' bits, so the characters weren't tainted for me. Which is exactly why, I liked both Elizabeth and Ian so much. Especially Ian ;)

Wow Mels you only pop in here to post your book reviews? No interest in talking to us otherwise at all??😛 Thanks a lot😛

Most of the romance novels dwell on the electrifying first touch, earth shattering first view, scintillating first kiss (kisses) and the other explicit details of lovemaking ... It's a given. It's what the readers crave for. Very little thought is given to the characters and their interaction. That's why there are so few romance novels out there that actually stick with you.

Why can they have an ordinary looking hero and a diva looking heroine? Or a simple looking heroine and a sinfully gorgeous hero?
